Kumon South Norwood Maths & English

My son who has Autism, has been coming to the kumon since 2019, he had issues at first to get into the routine of the structure of Kumon lessons. Due to his Autism it's still has been a struggle for my son, but we have seen steady progression which I am very happy about. His tutor has kept on with alot of support and encouragement. I would recommend Kumon to anyone who has also got a special needs child. ( From Hayley. M)

My two kids ( Year 8 and 4 ) go to Kumon South Norwood for math. As my daughter(Year 8) can do the calculation in her head very quickly now by Kumon method, she needs just learn how to solve mathematical problem and once she knows, she can answer very quickly. It is definitely help your children for further education and exam such as GCSE and A-level.And Meena is a great tutor for my kids and also a great adviser for parents who need some educational advice for your children!

Kumon was the best thing that happened to my children. The tutor Meena was absolutely amazing and supportive. My daughters has been going to Kumon for the past 8 years and it has really helped them with their school work and more especially with their 11+. I will definitely recommend Kumon class to anybody.

I have been a Kumon parent for over 10 years, my first two completed Kumon and now my last son who is 7 is studying Maths and English at the South Norwood centre.The team have helped him develop and he really enjoys doing his work at home and attending the centre. He has made great progress since joining the centre approximately 2 years ago.I would strongly recommend this centre and the Kumon program to other parents looking for that little bit extra for their child/children.Well done to Meena and team.

My daughter began attending Kumon South Norwood a little after the pandemic. She was not very confident in maths and would get frustrated if she did not get the answer straight away. Since attending Kumon, my daughter has grown in confidence. She is now in Year 8 and in the top set for maths. We are so proud of how far she has come. Thank you to Meena and her helpers for helping my daughter to improve her maths. This would not have been achieved without this tuition.

My son joined Kumon at this centre to study English three years ago. I decided to send him to study English before he started school because English is not our mother tongue and I was worried that he might have difficulty at school. It was the right decision for him at the beginning of his education journey as it made a huge difference after a year study with Kumon and I can see the benefits he got from attending there. Thanks to Meena and the team, my son has gained confidence and he has been doing well at school. Now my son is doing both maths and English there. I really thank Meena as she provides us support and advice whenever necessary. More importantly my son enjoys studying there. I recommend anyone who want to send their children to study at Kumon with Meena and her team.

Meena is excellent. My son started at 2.5 as he was very interested in numbers and I did not know how to help him progress further. He was extremely shy due to COVID-19 so Meena suggested that he start online and then move to in-person classes later. He has done extremely well, rapidly progressing through the first few levels and now he is working on pencil skills. At first he did not like pencil skills but he still wanted to learn maths, so Meena suggested a few different things to get him interested and now he keeps asking to do more maths worksheets. He has also really enjoyed Kumon English.

My daughter has been attending the Kumon centre in South Norwood for over a year. She is now six years old. Since starting at Kumon, she has made tremendous progress in both her English and Maths. She has excelled greatly in her English which has been noticed by her teachers. Her maths is progressing steadily whilst she learns to master mental arithmetic.Meena has a wealth of experience in teaching and that is evident in her ability to tailor her approach to meet each child individual needs and ways of learning.We recently started trialling the Kumon digital - my daughter is really enjoying using the tablet to complete her work, she often uses the timer setting within the app to see if she has improved on her timings and to challenge herself. She also finds it rewarding when she get 100% and completes each level. Overall, we are very happy with her progress, development and the level of support offered by Meena and her team!

We send our son to Kumon to study math. During lock down our son really fell behind on maths and was really struggling. As parents we had to step in and find some extra help for him. Kumon to the rescue! Meena who runs our particular kumon centre has completely transformed our sons mathematical abilities and confidence. He has received rave reviews at school where we have been told maths is my sons strongest subject - get that! All thanks to the wonderful Meena. We are now sending our daughter for English and I am confident the outstanding quality of teaching will continue here.
