Gok Ratnarajan - Innovation Eye Clinic

My cataract surgery was carried out by Mr Ratnarajan at the McIndoe Centre. I had two operations, a fortnight apart, in June this year.I am a very reluctant patient and only conceded that surgery was necessary when it became illegal for me to drive. The surgery was exemplary - both the surgeon and theatre/nursing staff were professional and reassuring.My vision without glasses is now better than it has been for 60 years. Having been promised good middle and distance sight, with reading glasses required for close work, I find that I can read without any help. The only time I need my reading glasses is if lighting is poor or the print is very very small.I am extremely pleased with the result and very grateful to all involved in achieving it.

I found the whole experience first class. I had cataracts removed from both eyes and the resulting improvement in vision has far exceeded my expectations. At every point, from reception through to aftercare, my treatment at the clinic was most friendly, helpful and informative. Prior to the procedure, nursing care was pleasant and thorough,as it also was during the recovery period. The procedure itself was remarkably quick, virtually painless and carried out with a professionalism that inspired the greatest confidence. At the same time I felt informed and included throughout the whole process by Mr Ratnarajan. His manner as well as his evident expertise put me at ease in what could have been trying circumstances. The two subsequent review appointments were just as satisfactory, prompt and informative. I am very pleased indeed that I was referred to Innovation!

I was recommended to Mr Ratnarajan by my very good local optician after I was unable to obtain an appointment for several months with the NHS glaucoma consultant. As my pressures were very high and eyes are so vital I felt I must make the decision to go privately even though I was self-funding. I am so pleased I did, the care and attention I received from him and his whole team was excellent, I was very nervous and he took care of my every concern. I had stents implanted in each eye and cataracts removed in operations two weeks apart and the results have been amazing, even Mr R didn’t believe how my pressures had dropped and redid the tests himself to double check. So pleased with my cataract surgery performed by Mr Gok Ratnarajan. I now have near perfect short and distance vision and am mostly free of wearing glasses.The standard of care at both outpatient and clinic appointments was beyond my expectations.

My cataract surgery was every bit as smooth and painless as Doctor Ratnarajan assured me. I was kept informed at all times what was going to happen which made apprehension totally unnecessary! I will be returning to Innovation when my other cataract needs the same treatment.

I was apprehensive about having cataract surgery but Mr Ratnarajan explained the options very clearly and I came away from the first consultation feeling confident that I would be in good hands. The two procedures were carried out within a short time. There was no pain and very little discomfort. I am absolutely delighted with the results. I can give nothing but praise for the treatment I received from Mr Ratnarajan and his staff.

I was extremely nervous about the operations, however, Gok was so calm, kind and reassuring, that, and the friendly caring staff enabled me to go to the operating theatre with confidence. Very clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful, gentle relaxing atmosphere, everything seemed to run very smoothly. I was anxious about the cataract operation beforehand, but all went smoothly on the day and put aside my pre op concerns. I would definitely recommend this eye clinic to anyone considering a similar cataract removal operation, and especially my surgeon Mr Ratnarajan who looked after me so well and by way of reassurance kept me informed of progress during a very successful operation. I recently had cataract operations on both eyes at this excellent McIndoe clinic. Mr Ratnarajan took great care in explaining the procedures even when operating. This was most reassuring. Both operations were successful and I now have 20/20 vision. I highly recommend Mr Ratnarajan and his excellent team.
