La'al Sauna

Absolutely love that we have an open-air sauna in the Lakes. Have used La'al Sauna multiple times in the past year - bringing my friends and partner along the way. It's great when we know we're heading up for a hike and then can plan our route with a sauna and dip at the end of the day. We've also gone to the 'dark skies' festival sauna nights up at Ullswater. Nothing like a cold dip and a hot sauna under the full moon! The host is friendly and accommodating, even entertained our dog for a big. There's enough mats, buckets, hooks, and felt hats to make the experience even more comfortable. Highly recommend booking in when you come to the Lakes!

Great visit @anotherplacehotel. Beautiful location and brilliant sauna - just what we needed on a chilly Saturday evening. Added additions of fire pit, fired marshmallows, and the chance for a cold night lake dip (or bath if you prefer), all enhanced the experience.

We have been visiting La’al sauna since it opened and absolutely LOVED the “Sauna & Stargazing” at Another Place! The perfect birthday treat, laid in the cold bath, staring up at the night sky, rolling on the icy grass and hot sauna….then a great meal on site too. Perfection!!!

Spent a lovely hour here with friends at the weekend. Even on the hottest day of the year it was fab! Can’t wait to try it in the winter too! Laal sauna is such a gem, high spec, hot and wonderful views! The bonus touch of the cool down sprinkler was very much welcomed! Will definitely visit again, looking forward to the next time!

Spotted this on its lovely little plot on the Low Wray campsite and we decided to give it a go. So very glad we did; four weary adults (after five days of camping and kid-entertaining) had 30 minutes of blissful quiet, soaking up the heat and generally feeling happy about the world. Tree-dappled sunlight shining through the glass front door, lovely clean sauna trailer, and an old claw-foot bath as a plunge pool. Oh man, well worth it. Not my best photo but, gives you an idea.

What a wonderful experience!! The horse box is so cosy with a wonderful wood panelled/wood fired sauna inside, there's a bath tub of cold water or you can dip in the lake. All finished with chats with the lovely Debbie around the camp fire - bliss!

We booked in for a full moon session and absolutely loved it! Cold dip in Ullswater followed by an amazing sauna experience.Debbie was a brilliant host and explained everything to us on arrival and made us feel really at home. An extra perk to the lovely experience was sitting by the fire toasting marshmallows and chatting under the full moon. Can’t wait to book in again!

We went to the La'al Sauna sited at Another Place, Ullswater and it was wonderful. Fabulous wood fired sauna that got really nicely hot and a lake to jump into. We lucked out on the evening with beautiful clear skies with shooting stars, geese gently calling and moonlight shimmering over the lake. The whole experience was magical and we all agreed it was one of the nicest nights we've had all year. So good we're booked in twice more before it departs back to Low Wreay. Thank you for a truly unique experience and keeping it affordable for locals.
