disgusting staff and customers. i got shoved aside by a group of girls - somehow maintaining to still be at the front. a male staff member looked in my direction, directly in my eyes, asked if i was next and then walked away and started serving the rude group of girls. never been treated so vile. this was not the first time this has happened. so it is unfortunate i have to write this review.

They serve delicious breakfasts, the serving sizes are big, and the price is relatively low.

Frazzled (not).Ever had one of those days where everything seems to go wrong? Chargers don't work, trains are late, clothes choice was too hot? That's the day I was having when I stopped the Gallery Coffee shop, attracted in by the bright pink path to the counter that so strongly urged me in...Clean lines, simple choices, student art, gentle service all conspired to ease my frazzled feelings (not to mention the ability to plug in my dead laptop and dying phone).I'd tried and failed at the Black Sheep Coffee attempt to turn a coffee order into a computerised task (if anything should be highly personalised these days, surely it's still coffee?) so I was grateful for a barista with the skill and patience to make me a coffee how I like it!Coffee was nice, reasonably priced (esp. for Regent St!) and the right temperature. Quiche was yummy, the right size and served on a simple clean white plate (am a wee bit fed up with food in paper bags). The art on the walls was...shall we say interesting? At my age I'm probably not target market but hey, whatever floats your boat..in any case it added to the general feeling of ease.I'm about to head out - once more unto the breach dear friends - but this time with food in my tummy and caffeine levels restored enough to smile at the world.
