Arrived early on a Friday morning, and caught the first train to the top the ticket office had just opened and the inspector at the desk was polite and helpful the cost for adults was £6 one way and £7 return. It took around 8-10 minutes to get to the top.the views from the top are amazing.we really enjoyed the train ride.

Fantastic start to the day visiting this place! Quaint station and rail, gorgeous views both going uphill and at the peak. We went when it was quite overcast so weather was a little bleak but I imagine it’d be stunning when skies are clear.Went there with a bunch of oldies including my father-in-law who’s in a wheelchair. There are two entry-cum-exit ways but only one of them allows for handicapped or wheelchair-bound passengers (located on the left side of the station), hence why we had to wait just a tad longer than most people. The friendly attendant was ever so helpful in making sure we were in safe. There’s a delightful cafe at the top and they have some vegan and vegetarian offerings. The other spots at the peak were a bit dated to be honest, but still worth the £6 up I think. We paid £4.00 for my handicapped dad, the other seniors £5.50, and my husband and I £6.00.

It's nice railway came here because weather was bad raining didn't fancy getting to wet in this day. But paid for return regretted it should go single you can walk back down go to Aberystwyth beach. We walked to opposite beach from top mountain views were amazing it's 7 return each so paid £14 for both of us. The dog came on no charge.

Very steep authentic cable railway up the side of a cliff overlooking the promenade. Friendly helpful staff made the experience enjoyable. But, watch out for the wind at the clifftop - it can take you straight off your feet! And if you have young kids, hold on to them tightly! That is if you don't want them to blow away?

Definitely worth coming up here for the view. You can walk up (its quite steep) for free or get the railway.Dogs are allowed on the railway. The food at the top was very tasty too!Theres more up the top for kids and families including bowling, crazy golf and Frisbee. We spent a good few hours up the top and walked down which was nice to go over the bridges and see the trains going underneath.

A very gentle ride up and down the hill. You have time to think whilst traveling at a leisurely pass. Great views over the bay and plenty of time to take some photos.

A lovely start to a day out in Aberystwyth! There's only a 10 min wait for carriages and when you're at the top you can read all about the history of it upstairs in the observation building. I recommend the camera obscura while you're there too (it costs a pound). The gift shops were very sparsely stocked but it was mid October. Restaurant was really nice and food was great. Stunning views, even better if you take binoculars. Red kites and buzzards are flying about as well.

We went up the cliff railway with our dog, as expected but busy on the way down. We had coffee and cake from the cafe which was nice, worth doing once just for the experience.

Visited Aberystwyth this week & it wouldn't be the same without a trip up the cliff railway. This was our 3rd time, but our friends first who was a bit unsure at first. Once at the top, when she saw the views, she was glad she made the trip. Reasonably priced to help upkeep a unique quirky bit of history. Worth a visit & ride, but possible to get to the top by walking if your fit enough.

It is a great place to visit, especially in nice weather. Worth spending a few pound, £7 each for a return ticket, for the amazing views of Cardigan Bay and the town. There's a nice cafe at the top where you can have a selection of drinks, soft or alcoholic, cream teas, or something savoury to eat.At the summit you can read about the history of Constitution Hill and pay a £1 fee to see the Camera Obscurer. There is also a coastal path which you can join from here.
