I would highly suggest you visit Boot and Blade if you want a fitting done well and right. Amazing Experience.We visited Bradley from Newcastle and had an amazing experience at Boot and Blade. Bradley is very talented at what he does and so passionate about his work, it was a pleasure to be fitted by someone who was just as invested in me getting the right skates for my needs as I am.I wouldn’t consider my feet easy to fit or me as easily pleased with my boots I had been through 3 pairs in the 12 months before visiting but he took into account my boot history, injury history, foot/ankle shape and my skating goals.I really felt heard and appreciated seeing the love Bradley put into getting me into the right boots and getting them adjusted and punched out until they were just right. He also might be a magician as he managed to get my blade alignment perfect without me even needing to step on the ice!I don’t think I will ever buy my skates anywhere else, the whole personalised experience was just that valuable.I wish I lived closer but the distance doesn’t put me off after such an incredible time with a great person. It shouldn’t put anyone else off either!

I love my new skates and Bradley was very supportive and helpful till the moment we found the right ones. It was not easy because of supply problems on certain brands, but we managed in the end. I totally recommend the shop for getting new skates!

A few months ago, I began taking ice-skating lessons and didn’t know which skates to choose. Luckily, Bradley assisted me with a fitting and thoroughly explained the available options. Whenever I encounter any issues with my skates, Bradley is always there with a cheerful attitude to offer assistance. He truly is a star!

The Boot and Blade is hands down the best skate shop in the UK. Bradley is genuinely one of the nicest and coolest people I've ever met and incredibly talented at making sure you're in the right skates and explaining the process the whole way.I can't say enough good things about my experience with them and am enjoying my skating so much more after his help. Plus he does a fantastic sharpening (a rarity to find someone I trust my blades with!)

Brilliant, friendly advice and service. Perfect for the novice and experienced skater. Bradley is more than just the shop guy- he helped my daughter ease into her first new pair of skates and onto the ice with encouragement and reassurance. He’s always happy to advise without making you feel like you are asking silly questions and prides himself on making sure his customers are truly happy. My daughters think Bradley is the best thing since sliced bread!

I got some Ice Fly a few months ago following the advice of Bradley, and I am very happy with the change. Jumps feel safer, and I am able to skate faster and lighter. I also enjoyed all my interactions in the shop, as Bradley is very knowledgeable and a very nice person.

We travelled from Norwich to get fitted for skates here.We had the most amazing experience, and Bradley is incredible. He looked at our feet and knew exactly what brand of skate we would need! He has such a wealth of knowledge and it was so valuable to actually be fitted. We are returning in a few weeks to get the skates as they are having to be ordered in, however he has a good stock selection, so we were able to try on lots of pairs.100% recommend and such a positive experience.Thank you Bradley!

The whole boot and blade experience when buying new boots was so super helpful! Bradley talked me through step by step how my new skates would feel, how to break them in effectively, and that I actually need to wear my guards when walking around the rink to prevent damaging my blades - all advice I had never received before when buying new skates from another shop. The boot and blade truly give a very personal experience and I’m beyond pleased with my new skates.
