This is the second time we have used Dennis's to move us and all our family and friends use them too, they are simply brilliant! They moved us from the Forest of Dean to Burbage in Wiltshire and everything was seamless, the guys were courteous, polite, efficient and careful with all our belongings, they really did work hard and are a credit to the company.I cannot recommend Dennis's enough, a really good job done, thank you so much!

In Reply to Tom Paget review.We moved Mr Paget in June 2023 and emailed Mr Paget his removal invoice on the day of his removal.Despite constant emails and re sending of invoice (to which we have delivery receipts) Mr Paget ignored all of our attempts to gain payment for our services. We then phoned Mr Paget to discuss his out standing invoice he replied 'i thought my wife had sorted this' and that he would look into it!Unfortunately in October Mr Paget had still not paid for his removal at this stage we had no options but to send his account to a debt collector. When Mr Paget received this further action, he then only complained about the services we had provided, despite on completion of his removal Mr Paget selected all satisfactory on the teams job sheet, nor had he made any complaint in the period leading up to the date his account was sent to debt collection.The use of smaller vehicles was pre agreed due to the very narrow lane Mr Paget was moving from and too.MattDennis's Removals

AVOID THIS FIRMFirst impressions were really good. Matt seemed like a great, honest and reliable guy.Unfortunately the move did not go smoothly.Firstly, not enough was done the day before. We were told they would need to load most things the day before. This justified the higher cost and appealed to us as it would give us plenty of time to clean and make the moving day easier. However, they only sent one van and two men which didn’t even scratch the surface. Not a single room was cleared.On the day of completion, the vehicles sent were too small to fit all our belongings into and there was insufficient man power provided.At 1pm when we should have been handing over keys, the house was not empty, the shed was still full and items were still sat on the driveway. Our buyer was calling every 10 minutes chasing for access. We had no option but to load four cars belonging to us and our family ourselves with as much as possible. Various items from the home and the entire contents of our shed ended up having to be left. Luckily our buyer was understanding and Dennis’s were able to return later however this time they packed things that were not ours which I had to return myself the following day. We were also left to unload cars ourselves and they failed to notify us until gone 1pm (when we should have been vacating) that they couldn’t disconnect the washing machine, leaving me to do this.After sales customer service was diabolical. When things go wrong this firm are horrific to deal with.Having chased both before and after completion for the invoice, nothing arrived. Having been disappointed with the move, we decided to stop chasing. In our minds, if they wanted payment it was up to them to send the invoice.After more than two months we had a call from Lesley telling us payment was overdue. I explained again that no invoice had been received. They agreed to send it again. Still nothing arrived.We then went on holiday and returned to find a 7 day letter from a debt collection agency. This really annoyed us. At that point we decided we would complain and dispute the invoice based on the fact they had failed to move all of our belongings and failed to deliver the service on time.Then followed a day of constant emails from Lesley who refused to investigate our complaint, refused to accept that they may not have delivered the service properly and accused us of lying by claiming we had not received their invoice and implying that we were fabricating a claim to avoid paying.Lesley (one of the directors) was argumentative, could not care less about customer satisfaction, implied that we were dishonest and disingenuous and, instead of attempting to resolve our complaint, bullied us into submission by copying us in on an email to a collection agency instructing them to proceed with a claim against us.I am a solicitor with my own successful firm. My wife is a chartered management accountant. Ability to pay was not an issue. I pride myself on the ability to act fairly and with honesty and integrity. We were hugely offended by the repeated implications that that we were liars.I have experienced some fairly terrible customer service in my life but I have never suffered after service like this.In the end we paid. We were only seeking a small reduction to compensate us for the inconvenience and stress caused by their breach of contract. Not worth me wasting a day in court for a few hundred quid (although I would have enjoyed it in this case)Judge a firm based on how they handle things when they go wrong. This firm is the absolute worst I have ever encountered.AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have used Dennis Removals 3 times for house moves over the last few years and on each occasion they have offered exceptional service. The removal guys are just amazing, so careful with your furniture whilst also being really friendly. The Directors of the business are brilliant. Thank you so much for your help once again. I used Dennis’s last month and I was so happy with the service, from quote to removal everything was explain and all questions resolved quickly. The move was split over two days, both days the guys were on time even through the snow, they made the whole process really easy with no stress. If I was going to move again I would definitely use them and highly recommend the service.

We used Dennis's to move from Swindon to Bordeaux during the Covid-19 lockdown, after another company let us down at the last minute... I really wish we had contacted Dennis's in the first place!They were professional from the initial quote right the way through the packing and unpacking process, and the guys even tidied-up after themselves afterwards. The service was impeccable - we had a lot of stuff but they managed to somehow fit it all in, and everything arrived in perfect condition.Not only did Dennis's manage to accommodate our move at incredibly short notice, but they were able to offer us a part-load with an existing job they had planned in the region we were moving to, so we ended up saving 50% compared to the company who had let us down.Moving house is very stressful, but Dennis's made the whole experience stress-free. I would happily use them again myself, and recommend them to friends and family. If you're reading this review because you're moving house, whether internationally or otherwise, then make your life simpler by using Dennis's.

The worst company to deal with...Turn up 3 hours later and not even a call to say where the were.The crew just keeper arguing all the time and taking a lot of time to do anything. Turned up 6 hours late to deliver and still no contact with them.Have multiple items damaged from the move.Did not put any flooring protection down so moved mud allcover the floor.Tried to get in contact with them but no response, looking now at taking them to court to settle the damage items cost.Do not use this company avoid at all cost.

Superbly professional, hands-on owners who care deeply about the service they give. The boss even came back himself for a final trip after 6pm in the dark and after his own hard work day to transport machines which were unexpectedly problematic and to relieve the stress he could obviously see written all over me on our emotional long and tiring move out day from our home. Thank you so much including the office support team - all good.
