I visited Shimlas for the first time on Tuesday for my wedding anniversary. We were very pleased with the service and food. Service was quick and efficient with very friendly staff. Food was fantastic. For me the mushroom bhaj was the best I've ever had. I will be returning very soon!Thank you again, Alistair.

Delicious! One of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. Everything was well cooked, had great flavour and tasted home made. Can’t fault it. Even the naan was light and fluffy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. You have to try it!

WORST SERVICE EVER, did not recieve full order after waiting near 2 hours, no apology from the staff or offer to have missing items delivered urgently. Offered refund for undelivered items which we are still waiting to recieve after 2 weeks. Whenever we call to chase refund always told the manager will call back, they never have! The food is not worth a penny, you can get a better meal with more flavour from a tesco ready meal. Absolute shambles of a resturant. Stay well clear and spend your money somewhere better!

Was dubious about trying this restaurant again following it's rebrand but very glad we did! The menu has not changed but the chefs must have - food was absolutely delicious, well flavoured and a good level of heat for us chilli lovers. Accommodated us last minute with a very small baby alongside, staff were excellent. Have since had a delivery which was quick, hot and yummy. Looking forward to our next meal :)

Hand on heart the best food I’ve had from an Indian restaurant in years.It’s not just the food either that makes this place so special…it’s the whole experience.All of the brothers who run Shimlas know exactly what it takes to make you feel welcome, at home and comfortable.Friendly service, knowledgeable with the menu offering good and honest recommendations on what to order to tend to personal preferences.Very professional.My favourite dish so far is the lamb Rezella and I look forward to trying many many more different ones too.Thank you for your delicious food, and hospitality guys!Hope to see you again very soon.Jase

Had a meal here with friends Sept 8th 2023.Had a great time.Nothing to much trouble for the staff, very welcoming.Food presented and tasted absolutely amazing.Will definitely be going back.

We went to Shimlas for my husbands birthday and had a lovely time. It felt like we had gone to a friends house for dinner. Everyone was so friendly and the food was absolutely amazing! This was our first time here and we will definitely be going back!

What a lovely night out we had at Shimlas. The food was delicious, generous portion sizes, and reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly, happy and were having a laugh and a joke with us all night.It really was a great meal and I'll definitely be coming back and trying the take away option.5 stars and we'll deserved!
