All a bit chaotic while boarding Sky Princess (17/10/2023). Some of the staff were on the rude side and also gave contradictory messages. Could have been organised much better!

Had a fantastic boarding experience in November 2023. The staff very polite and cheerful. Considering the size of our ship it was stress free and easy. I’ve done at least 20 previous cruises mainly embarking in Southampton. Well done!

A very efficient place, everything is organized and boarding is done quickly and in an extremely orderly manner. Every worker is part of a well-oiled machine

We were boarding the P&O cruise liner Iona, which can accommodate more than 5200 passengers - so imagine all those people trying to get through the terminal! Everything was very well organised with plenty of staff directing you where to go. Key points: 1) before leaving home, print off your luggage labels as instructed and attach them to your cases. You can do this at the terminal, but it means an additional queue. 2) do not arrive more than a half hour before your given boarding time or you will be shuttled off to one side and have to join an additional queue until your time comes. When disembarking upon your return, your cases are placed in groups according to your deck number - there is baggage carousel like this at airports.

Decided to use the car parking today attached / linked to the Ocean cruise terminal, mistake, disorganised, very long delays, instructed to stay in the car with the engine off, in 24/25 degree heat. 40 minute delay, response ‘no drivers’Sadly the terminal although normally very slick (check in was very good today I might add) there after the ladies between check in and security were all over the place, there was no communication between them, people were getting frustrated with the mixed messages, as a result they were being ignored, and I totally understand why. It was a shambles to be fair… once though security normality returned thankfully… a real surprise for what it normally a very slick system and team.

There is security barrier before you can enter the area. Security will direct you where to go depending on the cruise ship. Very easy drop-off of passengers. On return, we were collected at the short stay car park. Clear signage, pretty organised with lots of staff wearing high-viz vest. Push carts readily available. On the left of the passenger drop-off area, you will see conveyors with numbers. Drop your suitcases depending on which deck your stateroom is before going inside the terminal to check-in.
