Great crew, very professional. Great service.

I bought a boat from these guys last year but didn't have much chance to use it. When I had it serviced this year by my own mechanic there were a few things that made me think that the service wasn't up to what I expected. A series of emails to Rob eventually gave me peace of mind and I'm grateful to him for taking the time to sort it out.Overall I'd say that the team are professional and trustworthy. If they had done the impellor I'd have given 5 stars!

Happy to recommend Blackdog Marine , Had a fuel issue with my Outboard on my Orkney PilotHouse , Rob came out the same morning I called , diagnosed the fault , came back and fixed it , took it out for Sea Trial and made some recommendations about a couple of other bits he wasn’t happy with that will improve the ride . I will get these done in October when it comes out for the winter ! Very professional outfit and I will definitely be using Rob again ! Excellent Service !

Rob has done a great job on replacing the engine of my boat. First trip out and goes very well. He also suggested a few other upgrades, which have also really improved the bot and given me more peace of mind. Overall great job and would thoroughly recommend!

Been a customer of theirs since moving to Cornwall a good few years back now. They have seen us through all our service and maintenance needs expertly and professionally. and really know their stuff which is most important when relying on their work when at sea. As well as the usual tasks they have seen us through our experiment putting twin outboards on a 40 plus year old Shetland, which was gave us what was probably the fastest one out there! They have now looked after us through our latest venture, we are 2 years into our 'new' Warrior 165 for which they have supplied and fitted a brand new Mariner 75 for us. Brilliant engine, such an upgrade from 2 strokes of yore. They welcome us at their 'new' location at West Looe and if we are too lazy to take the boat to them will visit us and deal with it on our driveway. Warranty work on the Mariner done with no fuss or cost to us. Always helpful and even supply the fuel additives we need for our classic car engine to deal with the dreaded E10 stuff. Also very good value for money compared to Main Brand car servicing! They do like a choccy bickie if you are popping in to see them!

Replaced a dynastart in June this year, in August the dynastart failed. I rung the company who reassured me that the would order a new one to swap with the failed part. Its now nearing the end of September and I have not as little as had a call from them. I finally managed to get in touch with them this morning and they have said I'd have to pay for the replacement part. They promised me one thing on the phone and didn't deliver. Make sure you get everything in writing.

I cannot rate this business highly enough. We were 300 miles from home and stopped for a few nights here on the River Fowey. We found ourselves with a major electronic problem. We contacted Rob from Black Dog Engineering after google searching help and he arrived within the hour to help work on the problem for us. Despite a few hoops and hurdles Rob had to get through, finding and ordering parts that may possibly help get us going again, in a relatively short space of time, much to our relief we are now up and running. We can’t praise Black Dog and Rob, highly enough. Professional, trustworthy and friendly!! A real cut above the rest!!!!
