Lovely, peacefully place!

Leigh on Sea is just beautiful.It may be under the Southend district but it’s very different to Southend. It’s peaceful and quaint with many different independent shops and a very artsy and crafty environment.The beech at Chalkwall is beautiful and safe to swim in too.There are lovely places to eat and drink and there is also Old Leigh which is worth a walk to.It really is a gorgeous area.

Went to Old Leigh and it is a delightful place nice pubs and cafes.Nice walk along path to Chalkwell beach.

Considering its proximity to Southend, it's a completely different experience. There's a great vibrant main street crammed with second hand shops, coffee bars, 2 art galleries & an art space, interior, decor and curtain shops. It feels like a burgeoning trendsville and being on the coast, even the dogs get deck chairs.
