Upperwood Boarding Kennels

I can highly recommend Upperwood! The staff are so lovely and clearly really know and love dogs very much. My Labrador boy has been going for day boarding with them when I need to go into work nearby for the last couple of years. He's always happy and tired when I pick him up at the end of the day. There's no one else I trust to look after him.

Our dog, Darcy, has had a number of stays at Upperwood over the last couple of years and he absolutely loves the place. He is a lively energetic German Longhaired Pointer who knows exactly how to press buttons. To witness the calm and steady professionalism of the Upperwood team with their 4 legged charges has on every occasion provided us with complete peace of mind in respect of our woofer. Every time we have left him there, he has wandered in knowing he is “on holiday” and has emerged subsequently happy and in tip top condition. The friendly and exemplary customer service, spotlessly clean kennels, alongside the administration of medication and dietary needs when required, have provided us with absolute reassurance every time. He recently had an extended stay at Upperwood due to an unexpected turn of events. Owners Dom and Rebecca went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. This recent experience has once again confirmed to us that we would not leave him anywhere else and I cannot find the words to recommend this establishment highly enough.A MitchellRipley

Fabulous.I have used Upperwood for the last 20 years (not the same dog!) - I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. I know that my dog is safe, happy and well cared for. I can't recommend highly enough.

Our dogs Scout, Bella and our cat Kasper had a great stay over the festive season! So much so that I think they would have happily stayed! They came out well cared for and content. Will definitely use again. Thank you so much for looking after our precious bundles of fluff!

I recently had an extended hospital stay so my cat, her 2 kittens and my dog had an extended holiday at Upperwood!The care given to my animals was second to none. Dom even managed to train my dog not to be afraid of traffic! They really made my animals part of their home and were accommodating when they had to stay longer than expected.Would definitely recommend 100%

This was our first time using Upperwood and also a new experience for our 1yr old Sprocker who is quite timid.Lovely pens where the dogs can see what's going on and also interact with each other (each pen has its own run with fence separating dogs from each other) This allowed Ruby to go outside when she wanted and still feel secure. She actually came back a lot more social with other dogs and I think allowing her to sniff and see other dogs with the knowledge she was safe in her run gave her the confidence boost she needed.Pricing really competitive and lovely staff.Will definitely be back next year. I've been bringing my dogs to Upper wood for 15 years, and they've always given them individual care and attention. In cold weather (before they had heating installed) they gave our elderly lurcher heat pads to snuggle on, and when she was no longer with us made sure her companion felt less anxious on his own by having his own bedding with him. Highly recommend.

I have been a vet nurse for over 20 years, and am often asked to recommend a boarding facility. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Upperwood. My two dogs are always happy to abandon me at reception, without a backwards glance. They are always relaxed when I pick them up, and never drop weight or seem remotely concerned about anything.The staff at Upperwood are fantastic, sensible, experienced, and know the dogs inside out. I never have any concerns when leaving charlie at Upperwood whilst we go on holiday. He's very boisterous and not the easiest of dogs but Dom and his team go out of their way to accommodate him and he always comes back happy and healthy. When charlie needs his medications it has never been a problem for them to give this.Would highly recommend this kennels to anyone who is looking for one! They will treat your dog as their own.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of 4 pairs of Upperwood bred English Setters and they have all been brilliant including the current two. I live 70 miles away but every time we go away, even for a weekend they are looked after by Upperwood and we have complete peace of mind that they are in brilliant hands and looked after to perfection and it is well worth the travelling. What more can you want for your dogs than to be looked after by Show Winners that really do know about dogs. They are also groomed to a high show standardand exercised in open secured fields when possible whilst they are there. Great !! So a huge thank you Team Upperwood for last 40 years and counting of great friendly service and compassion it is greatly appreciated. See you soon.
