Emily is a fantastic lactation consultant who is extremely helpful and supportive. I contacted the Natal Network during a very difficult time and she came to visit our house for a consultation the same day. She listened to all our problems and concerns and provided specialist advice regarding our baby’s tongue tie. She is so caring and very thorough with the information she provides.

I cannot recommend The Natal Network highly enough! I contacted Emily after my son had shown static growth for three weeks post birth after losing almost 10% of his birth weight.I was an experienced breastfeeding mum, having fed my daughter for two years and having tandem fed since my son's birth. I thought breastfeeding second time around would be easy ... I was experienced and equipped with knowledge and confidence to tackle it head on, but oh how wrong I was. I didn't know what I was doing wrong and the Midwives and Health Visiting team had been unable to give us the support that we needed to help my baby gain weight and so I reached out for support as a last ditch attempt before I heartbreakingly switched to bottle feeding/ formula and admitting defeat.I honestly believed that even with a consultation from a professional service like The Natal Network, we were too far gone to save and the only way left would be to give formula.Despite my worst fears, Emily saved us. She helped us to understand about my son's oral function and why he had struggled to extract milk from the breast. She gave us exercises and put us on a feeding plan, explaining exactly why and how top ups were calculated and what each exercise would achieve. She supported me in tandem feeding after midwives and even a paediatrician had told me to stop and she listened to what I wanted.Emily is truly amazing! She has been available all hours and has offered true, genuine and unwavering support. She is extremely knowledgeable and committed. Most of all she has saved our breastfeeding journey and I cannot thank her enough! From the bottom of my heart, Thank You xxx

I cannot recommend Emily enough. We came to emily with our 5 week old who had feeding difficulties that worsened following a tongue tie detachment procedure with a local practitioner. Our son had silent reflux and ‘colic’ symptoms. She gave us so much information and spent plenty of time working with our son to understand exactly what was needed to help him going forward. We were given bodywork exercises to take away and recommendations (including to see an osteopath for tension) and 3 weeks later there were improvements in his oral function and his symptoms had also improved, we were then given more exercises to help him further. Emily is very knowledgeable in this area and has really settled our minds! We would highly recommend the Natal Network!

Emily and Helen have been absolutely fantastic! They really take the time to listen and understand our family holistically at each appointment and offer practical steps to support us in our feeding/sleep journey. Emily’s approach to helping our daughter with her tongue function has been great. She is both hugely competent and knowledgeable in this area and we feel our daughter is in very safe hands with her. We had a great experience with the natal network. I was struggling with breastfeeding as a first time mum with a 6 week old and finding it was very painful despite all professionals telling us our latch was fine. Emily was fantastic with us and so validating as we finally discovered what was actually wrong. Emily was very thorough, knowledgeable, informative and most of all compassionate and non-judgemental. We got the answers we needed and felt incredibly supported along the way with regular follow ups and we also attended one of the breastfeeding support groups where our baby could also be weighed, we connected with other mums and checked in with how we were getting along with our treatment plan. Emily helped us to figure out what works for our family based on our individual goals (which changed along the way!) The exercises she gave us helped our baby’s oral functioning to improve and feeding is now much more comfortable. Things improved so much that we didn’t end up needing the tongue tie division, which was great news. We would 100% recommend the natal network, our experience was very positive.

Emily & Helen were amazing with our little 9 week old girl. The difference in her tongue function was evident after just the exercises done during the initial consultation session. They are very knowledgeable, fab at making the session enjoyable for the baby and tailor it to suit your specific needs.

The team at The Natal Newyork are outstanding. I went to them after concerns regarding my little boys feeding, knowing deep down something wasn't quite right. Within 5 minutes Emily had told me what was wrong and immediately put a plan in place. With constant support and guidance we began to see rapid improvements and now his issue is completely resolved.I cannot thank Emily enough for listening to me when others didn't.
