Tim has done a great job refurbishing our 1920s pine front door. It was cracked, had been cut too small for the frame and was hung at an angle. He glued and clamped it tight, carefully fitted a new piece of matched pine to fill the crack, replaced damaged mouldings and added new strips at the top and edge. After rehanging the door it fits with an even 2mm gap all round and no more drafts! as an engineer at Rolls-Royce, I was impressed with the tight tolerances and excellent fit - a quality piece of work.Tim is a lovely guy and was always ready to explain what he was doing. He gave plenty of advice as to how to treat and look after the door, so it lasts another 100 years. He also made friends with our Labrador Monty - top guy.

We bought a beautiful pair of old wooden doors from here. Tim helped us find a pair that would fit perfectly in the doorway to our block of flats (a converted house) the doors needed stripping and renovating which Tim agreed to do for us. Tim brought the doors back to life and we are very happy with them, as well as the other owners of the flats in our building. The doors are in keeping with others on our street and we were lucky to find such a lovely set at the reclamation yard. Tim was very helpful and advised us what needed doing once we had bought them (door furniture, painting etc) There is a lot of choice at Oldwood door repairs and all shapes and sizes. Very happy customers.

Tim did a super job with our 1930s front door. The door is bowed and there was a big gap at the bottom but he sorted that all out, fitted an additional lock, a weather bar and a lovely hardwood threshold so that it looks great and is draft proof. He was punctual and polite and left things tidy at the end of each day. Carried out all work as agreed at the price agreed.

Tim visited us today, in order to assess our front door (period, much loved and containing stained glass). His knowledge, enthusiasm and care were unparalleled. Highly recommend! Tim and Chris restored our door beautifully. Before Tim started, the door was poorly fitted and let in a lot of draft and you could see daylight through it. The improvement is incredible, it's like a brand new door. Not only that, but the original 1920s letter box was broken, however, Tim managed to get some metal work done through a contact and then polished it up to its beautiful original state. Chris very patiently gave the door a brand new coat of paint. We're now enjoying lots of compliments from our neighbours, thank you Chris and Tim! Olivia

Tim was incredibly helpful, he came out to look at our double timber doors which appeared to be letting in water in several places. He gave me a thorough and easy to understand analysis of the water ingress problems and concluded that the issues were with the windows rather than the frame. He didn't charge me for his time even though he had set aside the day to look at it. I would very happily use him again and recommend his services.

Tim and Chris did a fantastic job repairing, rehanging and redecorating my very tired Victorian front door. A lot of care was taken to get the door fitting just right into the frame, to minimise drafts and also work with a new internal floor level. They were both very easy to work with, super friendly and kind and considerate with my young family. Would highly recommend.

Tim's work is really top notch. Lovely bloke, reliable, helpful and flexible. The wonky frame I had in my old terraced house is now straight, the cracked marble repaired and looking fantastic. The door has been repaired, now feeling solid and secure. I've already booked Tim in for more work in the coming months.

We are absolutely chuffed with our restored and repaired door. We were told when we bought the house that we would need a completely new door, but we really did not want to replace it as we loved the original features.
