Cairnhill Lodge - Self Catering

A home away from home. We spent some wonderful days in your lovely lodge and were amazed over and over again how much love and work and how many thoughts you’ve put into this fabulous place. Our stay here, waking up to the sounds of nature, sitting on the porch and watching the birds and squirrels was a very relaxing and peaceful break from our city life. We loved it and will hopefully be back here one day. Thank you!

Our 11-night stay gave us just what we needed - rest and revitalisation in a peaceful location. Cairnhill Lodge is comfortable and well equipped and Cameron and Elaine are brilliant hosts with great knowledge of the surrounding area.A good base for exploring the Angus Glens and beyond - we particularly enjoyed getting out on our gravel bikes straight from the door. Would return to Cairnhill Lodge and this area without hesitation.

We had a lovely, cosy time in this wonderful lodge. The local wildlife was amazingly tame - especially the pheasants which came up asking to be fed each day. There are some lovely walks right from the lodge door, and we will need to return to use the facilities at the lodge that we didn’t have time for on this visit. Thanks to our hosts for the thought they have put into everything they have provided. Made it a very easy place to feel at home in.

Lovely cosy little lodge with stunning surroundings and wonderful hosts (Elaine & Cameron), must visit during summers. Absolutely enjoyed every bit of our stay at the Cairnhill lodge! Looking forward to visit again in magical Scottish winters.

The Lodge was an excellent base to relax and enjoy the local area. It had everything we needed and more. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Although we never got a chance to use the log burner due to the lovely weather.We loved sitting on the patio and watching the very well fed birds, red squirrels as well has a host of other wildlife.Some lovely picturesque walks right from the door as well as many more locally.Cameron and Elaine were excellent hosts and clearly have a lot of pride and passion in what the do.Would highly recommend a stay at Cairnhill Lodge .

What a wonderful place! We’ve had a fabulous week. The lodge is incredibly comfortable, with everything (absolutely everything!!) you could want. Also appreciated the tips on where to walk & cycle, and really enjoyed exploring the area. Elaine and Cameron’s warm welcome (& lovely welcome pack) were the icing on the cake. We have just spent the most amazing week at Cairnhill Lodge. This is the most beautiful home away from home. It’s cosy, has everything you need to make your stay comfy and has the most peaceful setting. We loved having our morning coffee outside watching the red squirrels coming to have their breakfast and there was an abundance of birds who popped in regularly during the day to nibble and natter at the bird feeders. The surrounding area is absolutely breath taking with lovely walks right on the doorstep of the cottage. Cameron and Elaine are the most charming hosts and we’ve really enjoyed their company. Their love of this beautiful piece of heaven comes through. They have a well stocked library and games box! We are very sad to have to go back to the real world and will definitely be back. We can highly recommend this beautiful lodge. Thank you both for making our time here so special.

What an amazing break we had at the lodge. Ideal location to explore the area with plenty of nice walks on the doorstep. The lodge was extremely comfortable, private and had all the facilities we could ever need. Including an office space which we intend to use on our next visit. Phone signal was still good for being in an isolated area and had wifi for firestick etc. Hosts were lovely and the wild life that was attracted to the garden area was amazing. Loads of birds and a red squirrel that visited every morning. Can't wait to get back and experience all the season at the lodge. We went start of autumn and was beautiful
