I would not recommend this practice at all. A couple of years ago I did have them deal with my property sale. Completed on a property sale at 11.00am funds were not put in our bank accounts until 4pm ! We had to pay a deposit on a rented property fortunately a member of the family lent us the funds until the money was received. Their attitude was oh we are very busy and have other clients too ! Well in all my years of buying and selling property I have never ever witnessed such poor customer service and have never waited 5 hours for money.

A friend of mine had previously used Coldham Shield & Mace to deal with her property sales and purchases and was therefore au fait with the procedure. However, their INCOMPETENCE dealing with her recent house purchase and sale had a detrimental impact on her wellbeing. She received appalling communication, or lack thereof, and customer care was non existent. Not recommended!

Wow can’t really believe this solicitors arrogance. Asked him to look into a property related matter over three weeks ago. Rang them to enquire about the matter to be advised “he will deal with it next week” So after waiting patiently his assistant now says “he’s said he’s to busy” No sorry nothing- unbelievable approach from a so called Professional, try to support a local community solicitor/business the mans a plank. Save yourself time go elsewhere.

Dishonest, misleading, incompetent, tardy and difficult. Provided misleading information to parties to a transaction on a number of occasions, frustrating settlement. When you receive letters with spelling and grammatical errors, it gives you an indication the level they are working at. As a lawyer myself I am appalled the practitioners at this firm remain members of the bar.
