Becs has all the qualities we were looking for in a piano teacher. She is patient, encourages creativity and makes lessons fun.The lovely studio has space for parents to wait near their child, so it is perfect for children who don’t want to be left, and it is always easy to find a parking space nearby.She adapts lessons, sometimes at a moment's notice, to suit my daughter’s interests and level of engagement. She doesn’t just teach at the piano - lessons often end up on the floor playing games that teach musical theory.If a child is interested in a particular type of music she will follow that interest, sourcing or writing the music, and she also encourages children to improvise and compose their own music.We also like that she offers a range of examination options (including no exams) and children have frequent opportunities to perform and enter competitions, if they want to.

I’ve started my piano journey quite late in life and truly couldn’t have found a better teacher. Becs is so kind with infinite amounts of patience (which she definitely needs in my case) and so much enthusiasm for what she does. The lessons are always enjoyable with no pressure other than to learn and develop at my own pace and most importantly to enjoy the music.

Absolutely brilliant teacher. My son is on the autistic spectrum and she knows exactly how to work with him in order to get the best out of him, without him even realising it which is what we need.

Becs is a great teacher and after several attempts with piano lessons and various teachers I consider that I have found just what I was looking for , asking me what style I wanted to learn .We are working hard but at my own pace which is never rushed.Becs has endless patience and explains everything in detail.I can’t recommend Becs highly enough . From a seventy something just starting out on my piano journey, never too late to try something new.

I really enjoy my lessons with Becs. I have had a very long gap of over 35 years since last playing the piano and had totally lost confidence in my ability to play. It’s great to feel it coming back. My son has been taught piano by Becs since we moved to the area over a year ago. Becs is a brilliant teacher and my son loves her lessons. She treats him as an individual, supporting him to learn to play a good mix of music that he loves. This includes Minecraft and Star Wars themes as well as study and exam pieces. My son enjoys his fun weekly lessons with Becs and he never gets bored. She is very flexible and always gives him choices of which music to learn next and what he would like to do in his lessons. I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so.
