This company is a godsend. I used Viva for four years when my dad moved from his own home into a supported flat. At that time his health concerns meant that the appointments seemed never ending: eye clinics, cardiology , diabetic clinics, podiatry, hospital admissions then aftercare etc, etc. Trying to offer the support needed and work full-time was very stressful.That’s when Viva stepped in. Viv and her team would take my Dad to his appointments, ensuring he got there safely and on time, then afterwards I’d get a message with clear feedback on what had happened.Latterly, Viv was also booked to provide social contact and take my Dad out and about.I really, really, can’t praise Viv and her team highly enough. For the last four years of my Dad’s life he enjoyed his contact with Viv and looked upon her as a friend. In return, he was treated with genuine respect, compassion and had the opportunity to tell his tales and have a laugh (so important!).My Dad passed away in March 2020 and Viv was held in such high regard by everyone that we had no hesitation in ensuring she was one of only a few people at the funeral.It is incredibly stressful trying to keep all the balls in the air whilst trying to ensure your loved one is cared for with dignity and respect. Viva Independent Living have provided an invaluable service to my parents over the last year. The member of the team who works with my Mum, who has dementia, has a great relationship with her and always thinks of fun and interesting things to do. Baking, singing and walking to name a few. This gives my Dad some respite and time to himself. She has been very reliable and professional at all times and my Dad can relax and know that Mum is enjoying herself and being well looked after.I would have no hesitation in highly recommending the company.

I would certainly recommend Viva 100%. We have been using Viva for a few months now for my mum and it is brilliant for her and has made such a difference to her life and outlook. She really looks forward to her visits and loves spending time with Viva whether it's out and about for coffee and cake or whether it's just having a chat, it's a totally fantastic service and my mum is always so upbeat after every visit. It also gives us peace of mind as we know mum is getting out, has company and is enjoying herself, she's always got a story to tell. It's a fantastic service and wish we had done it earlier.
