The Prince Regent
We had a roast and liked the food. There could have been a bit more flavour and salt but it was nice enough (would recommend a bit more gravy for the chicken). It was good for a Sunday roast. My issue came with the person serving us.When it came to pay by card, we were given the machine which had a tipping screen that was difficult to get out of. I managed to work my way out but while I was doing it, the person who served us was watching what I was doing (so, already, I'm uncomfortable). The same thing happened to my friend but as she couldn't get out of the tipping screen, she asked how. The person serving us, seemingly bothered, asked could we do anything to improve?" My friend said no and the person said "okay so what's the...?" (and tailed off). Essentially

We booked the private room on the top floor for my wedding reception.All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and worked hard to make it a great day for us. The food was very very good.Thank you to Glen and the rest of the team for everything.Oliver and Mina

Had our Christmas lunch in the private room. Glen looked after us and did a great job. Everyone loved the food. They reserved us a table downstairs after so we could continue the party! Good job team! Thanks

I booked the function room from 12-6pm for my daughters baby shower, room was room for 30 people, we had food and drinks which was excellent, the pub itself is in need of a fresh coat of paint, however this did not detract from the amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff.

This was our 3rd year in a row coming for xmas dinner.Disappointed there were no Christmas crackers on the table.We ordered our own drinks at the bar and were charged service charge, which we declined to pay.Starter of pate was ok, the toast looked like the bread crust had been sliced to make to pieces.Turkey roast consisted of luke warm some turkey, one tiny pig in blanket, a thin disc of stuffing, 3 hard roast potatoes, sliced Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce and gravy. We asked staff where the other vegetables were and 15 minutes later they brought out carrots and parsnips and boiled potatoes. Very disappointing.Dessert lemon merangine and sorbet was nice.Unfortunately we wont be coming again.

Giving two stars instead of one just because a girl who served us was very kind and refunded us.Terrible quality food. The calamari portion was tiny, and the pieces were little (never seen such small calamari on a plate before). The camembert backed in bread was disgusting. It tasted five days old with a layer of 0.5cm of cheese that tasted like it was reheated multiple times. It’s a very nice-looking pub with good drinks selection, but the food is terrible.Email sent but nobody has replied since.

Had early dinner here, nice place, great food. Good choice of beers Guinness 00 for me. Food was good, I think they got our order/table number confused.

A great place to go and drink. Em served our table and made our night. Will be returning with friends soon. I loved the shepherds pie! Highly recommend.
