I have actually found the reception staff very patient and helpful. The practice is trying to train new doctors.(,which are desperately needed)as well as seeing patients face to face..I think they are all doing their best to get people seen more quickly .Remember there are a lot more people in the area now and everyone needs a doctor.

I wouldn't have given it 1 start but there's no options for NO stars! Staff are rude, take their time in any task ! Some of the receptionists think they are the doctor, like going through an interview to get a doctor's appointment! Shocking people skills even tho they are dealing with the public!

Never got any stock some staff very abrupt and. They don't open at time stated its 9.00 instead of 8.30 and no late opening on a certain day to accommodate people who work late and that have nobody to collect there life saving medication, not good at all.

Litterally the worst doctors ive ever had. Never any appointments, all taken within 1 minute and when you do actually get an appt they expect you to leave your work place even if its 50 miles away and get there in 15 mins. Total joke

Tried to make an appointment today I said I can go anytime. Was told I can only book same day at 8.00 the same morning.Choice is to wait in a queue out of the car park or try and phone.(not good if you are ill)What's happened to being able to book in advance or on line.I find this is a poor service thought they had got it sorted at one time.

I cant score zero so have to give one. Reception staff are rude obnoxious and think they are above everybody. I called on my way home from Cornwall as was in agony as a water infection had started and was told a doctor would call me, this never happened so I had to stop at Bridgewater hospital where within the hour I had a bladder scan pain relief and antibiotics. As regards ST JOHNS pay peanuts you get monkey's. I will be moving to another doctor

reception staff ignorant and rude.Seams like when asking for help they are not interested and it’s a HUGE deal.Even if it’s waiting to sign in at reception.Do not want to speak you you for longer then a minute.Horrible horrible horrible.A Drs surgery are supposed to help you. That’s from the minute you walk in to the time you leave. This place needs new front of house customer faced staff who want to help. Not rude and condescending staff who you feel uncomfortable asking a question.

Once great now terrible. As I understand the current situation they are now part of the Modality Partnership which is a money spinner set up by already high earning GP's.Good luck getting an appointment, no chance directly unless it's for your Covid vaccine. They will tell you they have no appointments available but if it's an emergency that you should call 111.So you call 111 and get rudely spoken to. Eventually, and as long as you refuse to be fobbed off the 111 call handler will agree to get a local surgery to call you. St John's will be on this list even though they told you earlier there were no appointments. If your can convince the caller from St John's that your condition is serious enough you will be invited in for a face to face appointment. Here is the absolute disgrace of this whole money making charade... you will be offered half a dozen or so vacant appointments for the same day.How is this possible? You have already been told there are no appointments...It is obvious that GP surgeries such as St John's get paid more for referrals via 111 and that they keep appointments back from their own patients on a daily basis so they can hit their agreed targets with NHS 111.The NHS is dead in the water and already takes in average £10000 per household in the UK.It is unofficially a part private service. Ask anyone who has private healthcare through work. They will tell you that you mostly just queue jump the NHS. The time has come to privatise the lot and let us choose our own level of service via private insurance policies that we could easily afford if we weren't paying so much via so many various taxes...Modality Partnership founders may well have started with great intentions but I suspect money has undoubtedly taken over as it is a licence to print. I suspect they are rolling in it...They certainly care little about their patients. For the record, it is not the actual GP's nor the receptionists that I am criticising here, they are as frustrated as I am. It is the top level management of Modality Partnership who have ruined a once great surgery.

Hi, I work within the NHS as a nurse. I was appalled on Friday night when my partner told me he had been scrutinised by the “doctor” for having a severe needle phobia. My partner has been known to have seizure like events due to stress of having a vaccine or having a blood test. I have never been more shocked by something that has came out of a “medical professionals” mouth. To cut a long story short, my partner needed a blood test in order to be prescribed some sleeping tablets as he has insomnia. The doctor had said “we have some numbing cream if you want some”, to which my partner said “yes please if you don’t mind”, to then have this doctor say “really? We only give it to kids”.I cannot express how disgusting this is. As a doctor you would think he would understand about severe phobias and wouldn’t unprofessionally ridicule somebody who was scared. On a separate occasion last year, he was misdiagnosed twice being told he had tonsillitis and he had Quinzy, he was blue lighted to queen elizabeth hospital in Birmingham where they told him if I hadn’t of persisted and made sure he was properly diagnosed, it would have popped and he would have had sepsis. The “doctors” here have no idea what they are doing, they aren’t professional and they certainly aren’t empathetic, which correct me if I’m wrong, is one of the most important traits to have as a doctor. I will be reporting this instance through the NHS, I want this doctor investigated. I am absolutely livid at the absolute audacity.
