If I could give 10 stars, I would! And quite frankly can not understand those who give less than 5! The staff here are so helpful, they have everything you need. I always come away with exactly what I want. During lockdown Becky was absolutely brilliant in helping me choose the items I needed to make masks (money raised for local cat charity I may add). Spoilt for choice with cat related material. Thank you sooo much. You are all absolutely brilliant.

As an utterer novice who can just about thread a needle, you have helped guide me with my little project for my toddler during what is no doubt a difficult time for us all with UK wide lockdown.It's so easy to simply go online to the likes of Amazon or eBay but I know I'd never have got the help and guidance you have given me.Great communication, endless patience with a hundred and one daft questions from me and super advice given.Thank you again and if I ever brave knitting again I know who to contact too!Sam xxx

Great shop for all your sewing needs. Great selection of knitting yarns. Stockist of ladies and gents shoes and slippers. Wellies in children's sizes and adults.

I would give negative stars if this was possible. They still claim to be refurbishing the shop as an excuse to stop any customers actually entering the shop, although this has been the case for some years. A woman did bring me some fabrics to consider but when I didn't like the first one she gathered them all up and told me in no uncertain terms to take my business elsewhere. She even followed me out to my car still shouting at me. It was a unique approach to customer satisfaction that I am keen to share with any potential customers.

I would give this no stars, but that option wasn't available. I went in looking for padding for home made knee supports. The entrance was blocked off as though we're still in lock down. It is 2023 now. The staff were rude, unhelpful and hostile. They wouldn't let us go in and have a nose. It's hard to explain what you want, till you see it.This business deserves to go bust, if they carry on like this. I won't be coming here again. I got what I needed elsewhere.

Lovely shop and a lovely friendly, helpful team. Have been in many a time to get supplies for my elderly nan who can't get out..as I'm buying for someone else and don't know much about knitting/wool, they have always helped me select quality wool perfect for what my dear old nan is knitting . Just recently, I wanted to purchase some wool but the shop is closed due to Covid. I emailed and the next day a lovely lady emailed me back and organised payment and my order and even delivered the wool to my place of work (,local). Outstanding service ccxx

I recently moved to Stourbridge and a quick Google search helped me to discover this shop was close by. Being a keen crafter I was very excited to visit this local gem. However, I was a bit disappointed to discover that, at the moment, you can't go into the shop to browse. I didn't bother to visit the shop for this reason, until one day when I really needed some wool. I was at the post office nearby, so I thought I'd take a chance to see if they had what I wanted. This was when I discovered that the ladies who run the shop are so helpful and patient that you don't actually need to go in the shop. They will literally bring everything to the table near the doorway for you to look at. If you want blue fabric they will pull out every blue fabric in the shop until you find the one you want. My grand daughter wanted some new wellies and we'd previously been all round Merry Hill looking for a pair she liked, but couldn't find anything. We finally happened to see some she liked in Step Along whilst I was buying buttons. They had them in her size and they let her into the shop to try them on. She was very happy. I absolutely love this shop and am so grateful that it's close by. They have a wide range of fabrics, yarns and haberdashery, as well as other crafting supplies and shoes. Amazing! I highly recommend a visit. They aren't open every day though, so check out opening times before hand. If you love knitting, sewing or crafting, then this is the place to go.
