The Ledward Centre
The espresso is sour and lacking a proper crema. The extraction time is only about 8–9 seconds which along with the sourness suggests an underextracted yield. The target is 25–30s. Adjusting the grind size to a finer setting would improve the flavour considerably.

Lgbtqi+ community and cultural centre, but all are welcome A great cafe, and starting to hold events. Waiting in anticipation of the downstairs to be operational.

To my mind this very welcoming comfortable space for LGBTQ+ community in central Brighton is a rarity these days. Relax here. Get a hot or cold beverage , soup and or cakes. Relax. Start or join a conversation. Relax. Did I say relax?

Lovely atmosphere. It was quite quiet when I went in and had a relaxed atmosphere. There's good lighting to read or do work in and quiet music so it's easy to focus. Large open space feels quite spacious and would be great for big events. Lovely selection of LQBTQ+ books and feels very welcoming. Decent coffee as well!

The Ledward Centre
Popped in to meet some friends. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. No music and nice and airy which makes it feel calm. Lots of books, games and fidget toys available. Free WiFi and averagely priced hot drinks. Pastries and soft drinks also available. As a neurodivergent person I found this place comfortable, it feels like a safe space for the LGBT+ community and ND people alike.
