Second test and i passed with inly 2 minors. Lisa was very nice and made me and my dad feel welcome at the test centre and eased nerves throughout the drive. Very easy going and had a good calming chat. Much better experience with this examiner then my one previously.

The very first time I had my test at this centre. The guy who was my examiner was very intimidating. He wasn't smiling at all. My second examiner, Lisa, was very helpful. She welcomed me with a bright smile, and that boosted my confidence from the start. My test ended up a great success. Some of those examiners who are very intimidating should also adopt this style and try to interact with their students to boost their confidence. If you keep to the style of friendliness and interaction, students would be glad to take their test at your centre rather than chasing them away with an intimidating approach. Thank you Lisa for been friendly.

Passed in first attempt with No Minor. Examiner was really good and eased my nervousness by talking.

I failed my 1st test at a different test centre so I rebooked my 2nd here & I am so glad I did. I didn’t know the area which had me really nervous but my examiner, Sandra made me feel so at ease she was so lovely & i can’t fault her at all. The test route was challenging but she was really clear with instructions & didn’t make me feel bad for asking her to repeat if I didn’t hear the first time. Anyone looking for a driving instructor I would highly recommend Gear Selector too! He is amazing an amazing instructor & a really nice person!

Avoid Harehills test center at all costs! I've been driving for 20 years with licenses from two different countries, but I couldn't pass my test here. No wonder they have such a low passing rate in the UK! While many centers only require reverse parking on one side of the road. The examiner made me reverse park in a Lidl parking lot, which I did on two stages by adjusting forward one time to center the car, but the examiner wasn't having it. The Harehills area is already full of hazards, but I felt like the examiner was just nitpicking to fail me, finding any excuses. Don't waste your time and money like I did. Look for another center where they actually evaluate your driving skills instead of trying to trip you up with the undless road hazards. Stay away!

Recently passed in my first try. My examiner was this very sweet and calm lady that put all my nerves at ease as soon as she spoke to me (I don't remember her name, she is ginger and has blue eyes). She was very calm throughout the whole time and made sure to explain everything in detail. The routes in Leeds are not easy but are a good challenge for new drivers to feel more confident when driving by themselves.Can’t wait to receive my driving licence!
