I can’t thank the staff at Burney Breast clinic enough. I was feeling stressed after finding a lump, shortly after it surfaced as an abscess. I made an ignorant assumption that because it was benign, I would be referred back to the GP for treatment of the abscess. How wrong was I? The fluid contained a rare bug that not many doctors have heard of. I might have felt a bit scared the way the bug is portrayed in the media but throughout diagnosis it’s the staff at the breast clinic that have eased my mind and gone above and beyond, keeping me informed with updates from microbiology, keeping a close eye on me and throughly investigating to make sure I was receiving the correct care even though it’s a bug they are not used to seeing. Not only did Jane and Tracey Scott take time to ask about my home life and consider the ramifications of my treatment ect when I have a child with extra care needs, but they also ensured that I was really well looked after. I was admitted to hospital after the clinic wasn’t happy with how the bug wasn’t responding to antibiotics, and they ensured I was admitted. and the breast team came to see me and kept the ward updated keeping me on as their patient. They have been amazing, I’ve never had the type of care before that is so personalised. Thank you all at the team!

Excellent. Didn’t wait long for appointments and never waited more than 15 minutes after appointment time but mostly on time! Easy and cheap parking. Friendly staff. Clean hospital with easy to follow signage. Can’t fault it.

Had an appointment for gastroenterology. Was told not to eat anything 6 hours before going. Got there. Waited 45 mins. Got shouted in to a doctors office, asked 3 questions & that was it. Now i live a fare way from this hospital. £20 in a taxi there & £20 home. For something that could've been done over the phone or in a letter.2 mins I was in that office.45 mins waiting. £20 in a taxi there & £20 home.Absolutely ridiculous.Only been there twice and can honestly say is the worst hospital on a communication level that I've ever been too. Won't be going back there.

I'm a very nervous patient and have never had an operation before so I was very anxious. The staff on the Sanderson suite were so supportive and understanding and really limited how scary the experience was. My anaesthetist and the nurse who looked after me when I got back to the ward in particular were incredible and helped me through it. Unfortunately I was a bit overwhelmed so I don't remember their names, but I really appreciate their patience and kindness. The only person I had a negative situation was the woman who called me out from the waiting room who really set off my anxiety from the start. I'm not going to lower my score because of one bad apple though. Overall some of my fears of operations are alleviated from this experience so thank you.

I care for an elderly relative who can no longer walk and needs a wheelchair, and last week I took her to this Diabetic ward for an appointment. While I was waiting for her outside the room with the wheelchair and her handbag, I was aggressively confronted by a nurse who demanded to know who I was and what I was doing there. She was clearly disgusted by my presence as a person of colour, and felt she was entitled to interrogate me.She has absolutely no right to aggressively interrogate members of the public who are quietly minding their own business waiting for loved ones who are getting treatment.Things are stressful enough without having to deal with random aggressive racists who really let down the other staff who were welcoming, friendly, and professional.

No problems with the hospital. There was a receptionist to help if needs. But have been before, just going to the Sanderson suite again. Just doing a drop off so the parking was free as it was within the 20 minutes.Thank you for simple and easy process in helping with my girlfriend’s father.

Visited the Burney Breast Unit @ St Helens hospital this morning and this is by far the best NHS hospital I’ve been to, it’s well laid out with colour coded departments, is clean & the staff were so lovely.
