Nikki is clearly a highly experienced “tongue tie savvy” certified lactation consultant. She is supporting me with post-frenulotomy aftercare. Both my babies had posterior tongue ties with history of reattachment and, in my experience, aftercare is essential. It was such a huge relief to have extra support from Nikki to check and lift the tongue (to prevent reattachment) and advise me. She is also very responsive to communications and very approachable. My partner contacted Nicki & Hannah after our son was suffering with reflux, it was horrible watching her worry so much about him and she wasn’t getting the responses she wanted from the doctor.After the first appointment with Hannah you could see the immediate relief that she was getting the support we needed.Once she had seen Nicki later the same week and the missed tongue tie had also been diagnosed we where armed with a plan to help our little one.The changes in our son happened so fast, it took a little bit of getting used to the new routine but I could never of imagined what we had struggled on and off with for 6 months could be resolved so quickly.I can’t thank Nicki and Hannah enough for their help.

We initially contacted Nikki with a suspected and confirmed tongue tie with our then 3 week old baby. She has been an absolute saviour during our journey. From the initial diagnosis and during the 6 weeks of aftercare, Nikki offered continued practical and emotional support during an incredibly tough and emotional time, and as first time parents this has been invaluable. Now almost 14 weeks old our baby feeds beautifully with a deep latch, something we couldn’t achieve previously. If you are ever unsure about your baby’s feeding I would highly recommend seeing Nikki. Nikki has been amazing helping us to navigate the first 3 months of having a baby! We got in touch when Reggie was a week old and from the first meeting Nikki helped us get feeding down from 6 hours a day to just over 3! She had so many helpful tips and insights that have made the journey from newborn to 3 month old a real joy!

Nikki helped us immensely to establish breastfeeding with my daughter. After booking our initial appointment she was quickly in contact before the session to get more details and started giving advice at this stage which was so helpful when feeding was so difficult. I came out of each appointment with Nikki feeling so much more positive about our breastfeeding journey, when I'd gone in at times feeling like there were so many problems to overcome. She continued to be so supportive between appointments by quickly replying to messages which meant things could be resolved or helped so much sooner. While seeing Nikki our little girl went from being an unsettled and uncomfortable newborn to becoming relaxed, happy and content which was just so lovely to see and we are so grateful for.

Cannot thank Nikki enough for everything she has done for us over the last few weeks.We had originally booked in for a feeding assessment for early November, but after seeing our comments about the reason for the appointment in mid-October she pulled the appointment forward to see us the next day and thank god she did.Nikki diagnosed a tongue tie as well as significant body tension and referred us to the best place to get the tongue tie revised to ensure we did it once and did it right, and also an osteopath to make sure we were able to tackle his tension for a holistic treatment approach.Nikki has been on hand during recovery to make sure we’re following the aftercare correctly and to tweak our feeding plan and latch etc, including a last minute emergency appointment when we felt we were going backwards. We left that appointment feeling so much better and with a few tweaks feeding improvement immediately.If you have any concerns about feeding please, please don’t hesitate to contact Nikki, and the sooner the better. She has absolutely saved us (multiple times!)

A year on & I still find it quite hard to put into words how grateful I am to Nikki for all her support in the first 6 weeks of our little boy’s life.. she was an absolute lifeline (that’s no exaggeration). She listened to all our issues, validated our concerns & provided an unbelievable amount of support (including opening up access to numerous additional experts when we had no idea where to start). From helping us overcome the hurdle of a tongue tie & all the feeding issues that came with it, teaching us how to exclusively pump, supporting the attempt to breastfeed, helping us move on to formula feeding with a good routine (with education behind it) when this felt like the right step for our family & then helping me safely wean down my supply. There was never any judgement or expectation from Nikki - just constant reassurance & comfort. Thank you so much ❤️

I contacted Nicki & Hannah after a recommendation from my doula after getting no where with the doctors.My little one was suffering with reflux.I visited Hannah first at the Olive clinic and she quickly identified some tension in his body and gave us some exercises to work on.We then visited Nicki at the Wilmslow baby element clinic, the same week, where she identified a missed tongue tie which had been checked a number of times at birth. We worked on his food intake, bottles and feeding structure and had a follow up appointment at the Stockton health baby element clinic which was closer to home for us.Now with the missed tongue tie diagnosis in hand we visited Hannah again who gave us some exercise to stretch his tongue in hope this would mean he wouldn’t need it snipping as he was 8 months old.The combination of this resolved his reflux within less than two weeks and I couldn’t tell you the last time we had any milk sick, it has also improved his chewing techniques and tongue movement and made a notable difference to the tension in his face which has now completely gone.My only regret was not visiting these fantastic ladies sooner, my son had a couple of factors that needed addressing to fix his reflux they quickly identified and provided ways to resolve them and I will always be most grateful for there support and the knowledge I am now equipped with and that I sort this help instead of going down the medicated route and not actually finding the source of the problem.
