Took daughter and 2 year old grandson yesterday. Looked at farm animals, played on the trampoline, got lost in the maize maze and picked several types of fruit. We took our own containers and the whole thing cost us £8.00 which was the cost of the PYO. Not an expensive morning out and grandson got to have lots of new experiences.

I feel the need to add a review that's honest rather then what the other reviews are saying. The farm is in the middle of no where with beautiful scenery so you must want to go to travel out as there's nothing really surrounding it. When you arrive there's ample free parking and a huge picnic area that has an outdoor play area for the kids along with a selection of animals such as goats pigs which are very smelly....chickens, ducks and geece all there for your entertainment FREE of charge so anyonw being organised and packed a picnic could spend an hour or two looking at the beautiful surrounding whilst the children are fully entertained. When you want to venture inside there is a small cafe that sells beautiful food I wouldn't say too much on the pricey side 5 people in our party 2 had panini that we're around £5 but came on a huge plate with an ample side salad with all the trimmings. The rest of use had sandwiches and cakes and if I was to say anything it's that the sandwiches diddnt come with any side garnish so did look a little plane but I have to say it was very fresh and filing £20 for 2 sandwiches crips drinks and homemade cake. Now when it comes to pick your own I have to say this has got to be the best I have ever visited...its completely full of every fruit and veg you can imagine of course all ready to be picked at different times of year. There is a minimum £2 charge for all fruit picked per person but I have to say I completely agree....there are signs to say they are happy for you to taste the fruit and veg but not to take advantage and shame on those that do take advantage we tied all the fruit we picked but there were so many families eating fast amounts of fruit and it was a shame to see how much people take advantage so well done to the owners for ensuring they at least cover some of the costs they loose from these ignorant people. The fruit was amazing best tasting fruit I've had and very well maintained and organised. The staff were very helpful they are happy to answer any questions..... you can take in your own containers or yes you can buy one before you go however these range from a very large bucket for £2 down to square punnets with handles for 50p or even a bag for 5p so those that say you are taken advantage of are wrong. This was an amazing experience and a must for all families we were a party of 7 altogether 5 adults and 1 teenager 2 of which went fishing for the day on the same farm at a cost of £5 per person and the rest of us picked fruit we picked 3 large punnets of the biggest strawberries you can get 2 large punnets of cherries and 1 punnet of plums all for the cost of £24 and trust me it's well worth it. Please ignore the other reviews I'm ashamed of the fact that I almost gave this farm a miss due to reading these reviews but thought based on the rest of the PUO places around the area this was the closest to where we were and thank goodness we did as it was fantastic

Great PYO farm, huge site with a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. We spent 3 hours here, played in the playground, picked punnets of strawberries, plums, raspberries, some carrots, a cucumber, dozen apples, 6 corn and half a dozen eggs, all for £14.10! Amazing value. There is a minimum spend of £2 per person. Staff were friendly. Had a good cup of coffee in the cafe, (under new management). Cannot understand why this place has bad reviews, we would definitely recommend this for families and will go back again

Great location, beautiful views. Reasonably priced tea room. Shame we were very rudely told by a staff member on attempting to go for a walk round the picking fields that you can’t walk round without picking. Very nasty tone to her voice - suffice to say left without buying a thing. Will not return.

Booked this site before lock down at £21 per night & paid deposit.Deposit held, so just tried to re book, only to be told that it's now £40 per night. They say the rates shown on Pitchup are wrong & they don't know how to change it.Rip off B#######We have now book a great looking little place nearby for £20 per night.

CAUTION. Very overpriced. There is a minimum spend of £2. That is £2 per person, there was 5 people in our party including children - yes the minimum spend applies to children too. Before you go to pick the fruit you need to buy one of their containers at a pound each, however if you are required to spend a minimum of £10 then you need two so they've stung you for £12 before you have even got in and had a look. We went elsewhere. It is a shame that they were so greedy. I was prepared to spend money there but not to be robbed, I might have even spent more that a tenner but they tried to rip me off.

Large PYO with cafe and children's zoo. Staff friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Paths to fruit are mainly grass and gravel so slippery after rain. Soft fruit under cover.Bring your own punnets as those on sale are a little bit pricey.

I am sad to see the below reviews, and can tell you my experiences are nothing like what one or two people have reported. Court Farm is a family run business, and I have been going there for years and years, so much so that I used to go when Mr and Mrs Powell ran the PYO. Of course things change with time, but what doesn't. The reason that the minimum charge was implemented is because clearly people take advantage of the fruit, and eat far far more than they pay for, if they didn't charge for at least something then they would lose money, I have seen with my own eyes people taking advantage of this and it is such a shame that people can be so ignorant. You can ask any member of staff this, and also Mrs or Mr Gilbert (Mr Powell's daughter and husband) who currently run the farm as they are always around and eager to help wherever possible. All of the staff are local and are all lovely. Yes it's true that you need to pay for punnets or baskets (just as you now need to pay for carrier bags in store), because I can just imagine the waste as people used to always leave theses out in the fields. BUT you can bring your own! They will even weigh the containers for you and take off the weight at the end when the weigh the fruit. The farm is immaculate, there is plenty of parking always, and the shop is always well stocked. I will always continue to be a customer of Court Farm, as they are a great family run business, which I will share with my own family for years to come.
