Scotts Wood Day Nursery

We loved Scott’s wood nursery. Our son had a very happy experience and loved going in each day. They provided huge care and love for him throughout his experience and helped him to develop friendships through his time there. The staff were always very welcoming and catered for his needs wonderfully. He was well equipped for school by the end of his time at Nursery, and this included missing some key time through the Covid lockdown. Our son was able to return briefly to the nursery before going to school and we felt happy and reassured of his return through the measures that the nursery took to make it a safe and compliant place. We can not recommend highly enough.

We love Scott’s Wood. It’s just like a second home. When my son started at Scott’s Wood he was 6 months old, and the staff were so caring and thoughtful in how they helped him settle in. As he moved through the rooms as he got older the staff were always adapting what they did to meet his developing needs. He loved every day at Scott’s Wood and was never hesitant to go in. Over the last few months, the strength of the Scott’s Wood team has really shone through. When the kids returned from after lockdown, it was like seeing family again. What could have been a scary and uncertain time for the children was calm, safe and fun. My son has now been at school for a month and has settled in really well. I’m certain that this is because of the care and expertise of the Scott’s Wood team to help the children grow and develop at their own pace, and their support for each child as an individual. For the day-to-day stuff, the nursery is always spotlessly clean and the menu is excellent - even my fussy son ate his meals. The Tapestry app the staff use to communicate with parents is excellent, really easy to use and really worth engaging with. The management team at Scott’s Wood are great - really easy to talk to, helpful, knowledgable and always working for the best interest of the children.

Amazing nursery. My child went here for almost 2 years. The staff are the most patient and friendly people who welcome you with a smile every single day. The nursery has wonderful resources and more resources/ activities are provided as per individual child's needs. Thank you Scotts wood nursery for being part of our child's journey.

Our second child is now with Scott’s Wood and we can’t sing their praises enough! Lovely kind staff, home from home environment, delicious healthy food. We have been very grateful with how professionally and smoothly they have responded to COVID 19. They have stood out as being fantastic in these difficult times.

Our son loved his time at Scotts Wood Nursery and we were very sad that he didn’t get to finish his final months there due to the coronavirus (our choice not Scott’s Woods). The staff in every room are first class and you always get a warm welcome on drop off and pick up. The facilities are great and our son especially enjoyed the outside space. We always felt that it was a safe, secure and loving environment. I loved their use of Tapestry so we could see what our sons had been doing along with his nursery journey and progression. The nursery put on seasonal events out of nursery time which are really well organised and fun for the whole family. We highly recommend

The staff are friendly, thoughtful, helpful and thorough. My daughter is always so happy to attend and this is so important. The staff have made her feel incredibly welcome and continue to support her dietary needs with great care. A lovely setting!

We have had 2 children at Scott’s Wood Day Nursery and couldn’t be happier with our choice! The team are fully engaged with a child as an individual and provide a well rounded, safe space for them to play, grow and learn.Our eldest has just gone to school and he was well prepared for the transition and what school would entail, even though COVID limited the insight visits.With COVID in mind, we have always felt that our children have been attending a safe place, where the staff maintain a safe but sensible approach.

We have had our little one at this nursery for a year now. They consistently provide a very high level of care. She loves going to nursery and we feel there is a genuine warmth from the staff which is very heartening.The food there seems to be great as she t eats better than she does at home and they clearly take learning and development very seriously ( we get regular reports and daily updates on how she’s doing).We have never had any worries with our little on there and have complete faith in the care they provide. We feel very lucky!
