Tucked into the main thoroughfare of Chiswick, stands this beautiful 18th century bow-fronted windowed shop and possibly listed building. Current owner 2nd generation and been there forever.Dripping with old books. With that wonderful time honoured earthy, musty aroma of historic book extract. A sheer antiquarian delight with it's 1st editions, limited editions and vast variety of genres.A must visit if you are in the area. But for those too far away, fear not, he also has a website with book delivery.If you're like me, and prefer an old fragrant worn book any day, over a soulless odourless ebook. Then this wee emporium is the bee's-knees.

This book shop is truly a wonder to lose time in. Although it isn’t large it contains an incredible amount of material. I even found a book specific to my interests. The prices are very reasonable and the owner is very kind. I always look forward to the opportunity to return.

Super helpful lady manning the front desk. She checked for affordable copies of a book I was looking for and did so even when I didn't buy anything.I will definitely be back to spend more time here as most of the books seem wonderful❤️

Trading from an appropriate 18th.Century building that adds gravitas, a veneer of authenticity and authority.A quirky survivor of an almost extinct species; the suburban antiquarian book shop.Seemingly touching base with most genres with variety and scope seemingly only limited by space constraints.The emphasis expectedly on first editions, the recherché, obscure, limited editions and collectibles.Both committed Bibliophiles and the general reading public more than likely to ferret out something of interest here.Staff unobtrusive - knowledgeable, helpful and engaging when approached.Expertise, experience and enthusiasm the ethos here, in abundance.
