Thorpe Bay Karate Club

A great club, as a parent we watch all of our three children progress to national and international level, they gained self confidence, respecting others and being part of a karate family. Karate has provided fun, fitness and a sense of balance in their lives as they came into adulthood. I admired this so much, 5 years ago I took up karate myself and found a love for karate that made me want to train hard to achieve an international level myself. It also showed me and my husband as we have both joined, that you are never too old to learn!

Instructor Shihan Kevan Alderton has transformed my life with Karate! I started with him 20 years ago and since then I have competed internationally, becoming a national and European gold medallist, travelled all over the world training and achieved my 2nd degree (Dan) black belt. My whole family now train with him and words can't express our gratitude for the things he has done for us. Karate has helped us become mentally and physically the best we can be, and it is so much fun! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get fit, feel stronger and have a laugh. 5 stars!
