Having spoken to a number of funeral directors it was clear from the very beginning when talking to Liz that AJ Brooke were head and shoulders above the rest, both in terms of compassion but also for knowledge and understanding.Liz was absolutely fantastic in answering my (many) questions, and really explained the process and all options very clearly and in an easy to understand manner. Gemma was also brilliant, very knowledgeable and understanding and made it very clear that they aim to pay the utmost respect to your loved ones.The actual service was very respectful and all family members agreed that the way AJ Brooke handled themselves was phenomenal. Highly recommend to everyone.

Several weeks have passed since I lost my mother, and Gemma and her staff were outstanding and so respectful from start to finish . Firstly the communication at the start regarding all the arrangements offering her help and advice was amazing. On the funeral I could not have wished for anymore for my mother. Not only was everything planned , Gemma and staff were dressed immaculate in full funeral attire and whilst I’ve attended many funerals in the past , This lady outshone any I’ve been to. Although it was difficult with social distancing, Gemma and her team made myself and my partner feel they were honoured to be chosen for the burial of my mother. An extra special touch which we found outstanding was whilst we congregated saying our farewell to family members we realised that Gemma and her staff were stood to attention by their hearse as this was obviously another special touch of hers, that they do not leave until my family and I had left. Whilst I found the service I received amazing I was then further amazed when we received a card in the post from Gemma and her team, thanking me for entrusting my loved one into her care with a plantable wild flower seed paper butterfly. This lady in our words is outstanding . And we can’t thank her enough. Love Andrew Caroline x

At what was a very difficult time, Gemma was a pleasure to meet with and instantly lifted a weight off of our shoulders. She was warm & friendly and helped us to plan a beautiful service for our Dad that met his and our requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for Gemma- even answering late night questions on WhatsApp! On the day, Gemma and the pull-bearers were smart and professional and she ensured the day went smoothly. Thank you!!

From the moment we walked in the door and was greeted by Liz who shortly passed me over to Gemma I felt welcomed and consoled after the loss of my mother. Gemma was incredible from the start and helped us through the process and gave me information and her number before I had even confirmed we were going to use them! I message Gemma and Liz regularly until the day of the funeral and always got a quick detailed response. I couldn't fault AJ Brooke, they were so professional and respectful on the day, including all of the staff they use for drivers etc. Mum was well looked after and I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more from them. We honestly cannot rate the personal service offered by Gemma, Liz and the team at AJ Brooke - along with Aimee as celebrant - highly enough.It was the first time we have had to organise a funeral for a family member and time was taken to explain slowly and carefully what the process would look like and the choices we would need to make. We were dealt with sensitively and our mother was treated with the utmost respect. No request was ever too much for Gemma & Liz who went out of their way to help our Mum in her final moments, even going as far as dying her hair for her, which she had wanted to do for a while but owing to pain in her back hadn't been able to do it. At no time were we, or our mum, ever treated as just another number; we never had to introduce ourselves, they knew who we were and addressed us by our first names, and knew who was in their care at all times.I would not hesitate to use AJ Brooke again and will be recommending them to everyone we know.To Gemma and Liz, thank you so, so much for making a difficult time for us so much easier and Aimee thank you for your beautiful service, everyone has commented how lovely it was.Outstanding.

A brilliantly ran, family owned Funeral directors. They handled my Nans funeral brilliantly and ensured everything ran well on the day. All the staff were friendly, compassionate and answered any questions we had. They were very accommodating in allowing me to view my Nan lying in state. I was unsure to begin with whether it was the right thing to do but decided it was. They allowed me to view her on the last day and I'm glad I made the 400 mile round trip to see her one last time. They answered all the questions I had about the day including what I would have to do as a Pall bearer, and they made sure all my worries were at ease. Even on the day, they made sure that everybody was still happy to be a pallbearer, and again, everything I was told would happen, happened. It made a sad day so much better thanks to the amazing work they did. A credit to the industry. Thank you again

Gemma and her team was absolutely amazing . My partner and i lost our baby girl a couple of weeks ago and we met with Gemma and instantly knew our little girl was in safe hands . Gemma showed so much care and respect for us all at this sad time and we honestly cant thank her enough . Would highly recommend A J Brooke !!!

Gemma and Aimee were very kind, caring and compassionate when we lost my grandmother and grandfather. Both services were done with compassion and love. We thank you for your support as our family went through a difficult time.

Gemma and her team are amazing. From the moment you walk In the door at your most vulnerable they put you at ease. Gemma is so approachable and caring and so respectful to us and your loved one. She listens and is sincere and goes above and beyond to carry out our wishes.The personal touches incorporated in my father in laws funeral were beautiful from the order of service on a western theme to the advice for the hand tied roses to accompany pops on his final journey one from each of us and the grandchildren. Gemmas team mirror her attention to detail with care and respect. What can I say gemma was there for us 10 years ago for my mother in law and it was set in stone that pops would be taken care of by the same funeral directors that took such careful care of mum. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts Gemma and your remarkable team and the celebrant Aimee whose words at pops funeral yesterday were beyond beautiful and so fitting . Thankyou again Gemma and all at AJ Brooke funeral directors .❤ a bit confused as not very tech savvy as to why my father in laws name is on my review but hay if anyone know how to change this
