Dan and Matt did a fabulous job which I couldnt fault. They plastered out the whole of our grade II listed Chapel Conversion which had vaulted ceilings and difficult nooks, with skill and creativity. Excellent tidy work done to schedule and budget. Thoroughly reccommended.

We required a specialist company to work in our 14th century church to remedy historic poor workmanship and inappropriate materials that have caused plaster to fail in many places.Dan came to speak to us and immediately we were impressed by his understanding of what was needed and his in-depth knowledge of appropriate solutions.We have started with a small area behind our clock, but the care L & F have shown, the quality of the work and the liaison with the architect, the clock advisor and the scaffolder have been exemplary and we look forward to other work to come.

Where to start....I absolutely love these chaps. Dan and Matt have done the most beautiful job on our 18th century cottage. They have taken the whole place back to flint and then completely re plastered with lime plaster. Their care and attention to detail is incredible and they quite clearly love what they do. Not only were they a delight to have around but have restored our neglected cottage to it's former glory. We are so glad to have found them and cannot more thoroughly recommend them. Professional, reliable and charming too. Get them whilst you can, these guys are going to go to be in demand!

Matt and Dan have done a fabulous job for us. Thank you so much.They removed old plaster on two walls with a view to lime plastering them to solve a damp problem. Two stone walls were revealed and as such we now have two amazing feature stone walls with lime plastering down the sides. We are thrilled.Matt and Dan are experts in their field, using traditional materials and skills to repair the damage done by “modernisation”. They are professional, conscientious and hard working. We would not hesitate to use them again, and we highly recommend them.

Dan and Matt have done various jobs for us over the last 6 years. We live in a mid 1800s flint cottage and we have used them each time, because, they understand buildings like this, their excellent quality of work and reasonable pricing. Each time they have involved us at every part of the work, often making suggestions to either improve a design or even save money. We have always been pleased with the result. If you are looking for a local builder who understands older buildings, I do suggest that you contact Flint and Lime.

Choosing capable trades people can be a precarious activity, especially when requiring in-depth knowledge of traditional building techniques. Lime & Flint took our damp 18th century property and turned it into a beautiful family residence. Whether stonework needed to be rebuilt, lime render applied to the walls or air flow improved around original timbers; everything was tackled professionally and in a timely manner. I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish and would certainly recommend Lime & Flint to anyone wanting to conserve their period home.

We have used Lime and Flint for many jobs during a major restoration this year (2019). Always fantastic workmanship with both traditional and modern materials but perhaps more importantly they are unquestionably honest, reliable and dedicated. They always go that extra bit, especially if unforeseen problems arise. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will certainly be calling on their expertise for our next project in 2020.

Dan and Matt did a beautiful job on our flint fire back and installed our hearth stones with great skill and care. They are also really tidy, efficient and great to work with.
