Kumon Maths & English

I have no doubt that Kumon has improved my sons ability to concentrate and focus. In the 10 months he has been with Kumon, his confidence has grown enormously. His maths is excellent and has improved dramatically since joining Kumon. Natalie is extremely professional, dedicated and approachable and regularly provides feedback on my sons progress. I cannot recommend the Jesmond Kumon Centre more.

Both my kids year 8 and year 4 started Kumon Maths and English about a year ago. We can see improvement in both of them and the progress has been consistent. Natalie and her team have been absolutely brilliant during the lockdown- adapting and supporting the kids via zoom lessons.

I believe my experience with the Kumon centre at Jesmond can be described as extremely positive. It was a big shift in my daughter's education. My daughter has been there for about 3 years. During this period, I have seen her personal and educational progress clearly. She became more confident and trusting her skills. She became also very good in her school, known specially for her maths skills. The team is also very helpful and the main instructor is very friendly, competent and capable. Thanks to Kumon and a special thanks to Natalie the main instructor there.

Kumon is a very good way for children to learn and do good in Maths & English. Repetition and discipline help students to perform well at school; it makes their mind work faster in maths and they find it easier to do it at school. Both my daughters have done Kumon for over 5-years now; I can see a massive benefit it their progress and a positive impact in their overall performance. It is definitely beneficial.

Natalie was a most effective teacher for my 8 year old daughter. She is professional, reliable and very helpful. She's very good, she understands and listens to you, she makes you feel comfortable while she teach you, and she does not rush she's very patient as well. If you are looking for Maths or English tutor Natalie is the One!!I Highly recommend !!

Kumon has been a valuable tool in my daughter’s education. Kumon enables children to develop independent learning skills, however, they always have the reassurance of instructors who are more than happy to assist. My daughter has always praised how much Kumon aids her in her schoolwork, especially in her speed and accuracy. This would not have been possible without the constant support of Natalie – her Kumon instructor. Natalie always provides tips and strategies in how to approach questions and how to correct mistakes. Overall, Kumon is a useful format to improving and learning new skills.

Over 3-4 years, progressed from low-middle to top school group with the maths programme, and the English programme helped nurture a wonderful vocabulary, great love of books and high reading ability.

My daughter has been doing Kumon maths for just under a year. She is bright but for some reason had missed some fundamental concepts of maths which had knocked her confidence and subsequently her willingness and ability to progress were badly affected. The first few months of Kumon were a struggle, she really didn't want to go and it was a bit of a battle sticking with it BUT it has been hugely worth it. About 2 months ago it was like someone flicked a switch in her head. Her confidence has increased and the since the start of this year at school she has moved on in leaps and bounds, more than keeping up in class and often receiving praise from her teacher. We have a whiteboard at home and she regularly does maths for fun, asking me for increasingly hard sums to show me how easy it is. She now takes a huge amount of pride in her work which has also had a knock on effect with her other subjects and she is a much happier child. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kumon to other parents.

This location is absolutely phenomenal! My daughter started Kumon at a fairly early age and over the past 4 years I have seen her grow tremendously. She is well above other students her age and it is all thanks to the Kumon program and highly committed staff. Natalie truly cares about the success of her students and will go above and beyond to ensure your child reaches their full potential in Reading and Math. I would highly recommend this center to anyone who may be considering…you won't be disappointed!
