London Bass Lessons

Nim is my first teacher for bass and I have been taking his lessons for about a year. Nim was always very patient and professional in teaching bass techniques as well as basic music theory. He’s also familiar with different music styles which makes his lessons interactive and fun.

I reached out to Nim for lessons after having felt stuck in my journey as a bass player and musician, hoping to get some help to develop my technique, music theory knowledge and overall musicianship to get out of the rut.I am very pleased to say that these expectations and hopes have been massively exceeded - Nim is a both a great teacher and an absolutely monster bass player who lays out theory and practice in a really clear and accessible way, making the path towards improvement feel a lot more achievable and tangible. All the content so far has been tailored to practical application too , so I always get a sense of how to apply what we go through in lessons into practical musicianship.Nim's way of teaching is patient and spacious, but he also really makes sure that the lessons are excellent value for money - after having had 12 or so lessons now I always feel like each lesson gives me a really challenging amount of things to work on, and I have already got a big stack of resources and exercises to keep practicing between or around lessons even if there is a break.In short, I would 100% recommend him to bass players of all levels looking to improve their playing.

I can confidently say that Nim is the best teacher I've had up to this point. His talent for teaching and profound knowledge of the bass and music theory are genuinely remarkable. Every lesson is fun, and I've never attended a session where I didn't acquire new knowledge. With 6 years of bass playing experience, I can verify that within these 4 months with Nim, my progress has become growing significantly.

Nim is really great bass teacher. It's hard to put into words the joy I've experienced during our lessons together. Nim starts with the fundamentals of music theory, catering to all levels. Despite having some prior experience with guitar and piano during my childhood, I had forgotten much of the theory, but Nim patiently helped me catch up. Also, his classes provide the opportunity to explore various styles you're interested in. You can even practice and learn your favorite songs during the classes. I really enjoy and love Nim's bass lessons. Highly recommended!

I have come to him with questions about technique, gear or theory and he always can give a great answer to satisfy my question. I cannot recommend Nim enough!

Nim is such a nice guy and great bass teacher. I’ve learned so much from him and he’s helped me learn a bunch of songs I still play every time I pick up the bass. I’ve been to one of his shows, too, and it was awesome! Great person, great teacher and great musician!

Nim is a fantastic bass teacher who I would highly recommend if you are looking to improve your bass playing.I had previously played when I was younger with no formal tuition and came back to it last year after 15+ years of not playing. Nim has really helped me to understand the underlying theory and improve my technique. I feel like I am improving every month and am a better player than I ever have been.Nim really helps to breakdown the theory into manageable chunks and then bring it together which has helped improve my ability and creativity massively.I highly rate his approach to teaching and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him!

I've been taking bass lessons with Nim for over a year now and am loving every minute of it.He's helped me to understand theory much better than before, pointed out ways to improve my technique and, most importantly, go me wanting to pick up and play my bass every day.I am very happy I made the decision to take bass lessons again and definitely found the right teacher.

I always look forward to my lessons with Nim, he's got a great way of explaining things and has really helped me develop as a bass player. It's also really useful to have the option of either face-to-face lessons or online lessons when I'm too busy to make it to Nim's house. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for bass lesson!
