Hare and Tortoise Chiswick
The food and flavours are good. Ibe been going to this restaurant in Eing and Chiswick for many years. Unfortunately the quality is going down, it feels like the compamy has reduced the more expensive ingredients and just put more vegetables in and avoided adding the same level of prawns etc.An example of this is the starter chicken in deep fried batter. This was so good before less batter better quality chicken but now the quslity of ingredients is worst.The service is limited. No greetings in the way in and no acknowledgement on the way out yet a 10% service charge added.So i liked this but it is going downhill and they need to arrest this service and food quality prior to this being a place where it isn't worth visiting.

Came here on a rainy day and really wanted to have Japanese food. However the menu contains a bit of order sorts of Malaysia food as well, I was always a bit wary because they aren’t focused enough on one type of food.The soft shell crab was super crispy but in a fried way, didn’t really get much texture of the crab inside the fried layer.The tofu salad was really so-so, just tofu with some verges with sesame sauce on top.The Chiraishi Don had seafood on top, but the texture was just fine, nothing much special at all and thin slices.The Miso Ramen also did no justice, wasn’t tasty and lots of flavour inside again. Not freshly made ramen noodles, and felt very instant.The good thing about this place is the food arrives in 5 mins.

First time here, and the food is good; however, it is not the best, and they still can improve much more; the Sushis should improve; it's not as good as it should be, or you expect will be - however, overall we enjoyed our experience.Few suggestions;- Please add Draft beers as bottles are not enough,- Tuna can be fresher and lacked seasoning,- Sushis are extremely dry and need little life into it.- Edemame tasted fishy and was mushy, seemed old and lacked sea salt,We will be back again, hoping to see improvements!

The food preparation is extremely quick and the service is extremely fast. It is almost as fast as many fast food places but much better food quality.Laksa was about £13.50 and I was full all afternoon as the quantity was big.I would recommend the restaurant for a fast and delicious food with good service.

Ordered a Chirashi Don and Curry Laksa via Deliveroo. The salmon sashimi in the Don had full of chewy tendon and was cut too thinly. This piece should not have been used for sashimi (or nigiri). Another piece of sashimi was clearly a bad misshape or was a left over end bits that shouldn't have been used (see picture). This shows an unprofessional and careless chef.The curry laksa was tasty.

Hare and Tortoise Chiswick
We've recently moved to the Chiswick area, and really enjoy Japanese food, so we were eager to try this restaurant with some friends. And we are so glad we did! The food was very good, and the service was excellent. I can specifically recommend the Roast Duck and Rice, and my friends really enjoyed the Gourmet Selection sushi platter. Highly recommended!

Good sushi and a varied menu which is always of consistent standards every time we visit. It's got a nice relaxed vibe and the staff are always lovely.
