Coastal Cardiology - Dr Chris Critoph

I have recently visited Dr. Critoph as I have been experiencing some concerning symptoms like chest pains and breathlessness. Dr. Critoph is very competent and professional, he listened to my concerns and was very kind and caring. He has done some tests and really put my mind at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Critoph to anyone.

I would like to share my recent experience after having booked a private consultation with Dr Critoph.I had been feeling poorly for sometime, with Breathlessness, fatigue, aching chest, palpatations and a choking sensation in my throat. Due to Covid19, it was only possible to speak to a GP and having blood tests which were negative. I booked an appt with Dr Critoph and was seen within a few days. I also had a EEG and an Echocardiogram. It was worth self funding, as the tests showed I had a abnormally fast heart rate. Dr Critoph took time to explain the condition and prescribed medication. He has such a kind and pleasant manner and is so very knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease and it was reassuring to know that I did have something wrong with me, which would probably not had been picked up within the NHS for months what with Covid. I am now on medication and feel improved for the first time in months. If you wanted a heart check for peace of mind, it is worth seeing Dr Critoph. I am very grateful to him, as I knew something was wrong,yet I have never had heart problems in 55yrs. I will continue to see Dr Critoph . His Staff are professional and friendly, and his Clinic is well organised with communication either by email or telephone by his Sectetary's is excellent.

Dr Critoph is one of those rare people that treat their patients as human beings. He is always precise and translates medical phrases into a language we can understand. He never hurries an appointment and fills me with confidence. Long may in stay that way

I am extremely satisfied with the appointments I have had with Dr Critoph. I immediately felt a connection and was put at ease by his charming and non-intimidating manner. He was happy for me to ask questions and answered them in lay terms that I could understand and drew diagrams on the workings of the heart to clarify certain aspects. First Class Cardiac CareI decided to get a second opinion after nearly 5, very frustrating, years as a patient at Salisbury DH. I had a pacemaker fitted at 50 and I can honestly say that in all that time it never worked properly for me. I came across Dr Chris Critoph whilst searching the internet and he was on the phone within 2 hours of my initial contact and saw me within 4 working days. In the two months since we met, he has literally changed my life.Unlike my previous cardiac care experience:1. Chris listened to me!2. He took my case seriously3. He undertook thorough tests to find out why I had this problem which has given me real reassurance4. He spent time working out what settings I needed for my pacemaker that would enable me to live the life of an active 55 year old (almost!)5. He treated another symptom that was interfering with the pacemaker6. He treated me as a human being and respected my right to be able to live my life to the full.In addition, as I was self funding, all the tests were undertaken on the NHS at Bournemouth Hospital and I have now transferred there as a patient. I researched for a while but from the moment I choose to consult Dr Christoph I felt like I had found someone who would be excellent ....and all the team at the Clinic78 we’re so welcoming and caringfrom the moment I entered ....the clinic is a very fresh, super clean, comfortable and spacious....My Gp wouldn’t even examine me when I was concerned about palpitations, so if you want peace of mind and time to discuss concerns , and want to start an investigation with possible tests done quickly.... instead of languishing in the failing NHS system at the moment, Dr Chrtoph and his team are the answer.
