Couldn’t have made a better choice for my Dads funeral. Andrew and his team were brilliant from start to finish. Professional and caring throughout, Andrew’s attitude and work ethic greatly helped alleviate the grief & pressure both myself and the family were facing, in the most tragic of circumstances. Anyone not sure where to turn when choosing a funeral director should look no further than Andrew & his staff, as when needed they were truly elite in their line of work.

I write on behalf of our family . Our precious mum passed away on 11th October. Andrew and his team were so kind , sensitive and considerate. They could not do enough for us . The whole team were on hand at all times to answer any questions and to make a very difficult time a little easier . Andrew, from the bottom of our hearts we thank you and your team for your outstanding service .

Andrew and his team are just amazing. Beautiful surroundings in the funeral home. My dad was treated with utmost respect and they couldn't do enough for us. They made planning easy and are the kindest team. We also had Asa Murphy as our celebrant. He is outstanding and would highly recommend.

Sadly, I’ve had to use the services of Andrew Roughley Funeral Directors twice this year. Andrew and his team are absolutely amazing: kind, calm, patient, efficient- nothing is too much trouble. They had the utmost respect for both my dad and brother; it was such a relief when I knew they were in their care. Andrew has meticulous attention to detail and always kept me updated with the funeral arrangements. He even looked after and guided my nephew when going to visit his dad on the Chapel of Rest.On both occasions, our celebrant was ASA Murphy who was absolutely outstanding. He took the time and effort to understand what both my dad and brother were like as people and provided a wonderfully warm and meaningful send-off eulogy for them both.All of Andrew’s staff are extremely helpful and friendly.Very highly recommended.

After being recommended to us, Andrew and his dedicated team provided a first class service. Nothing was too much trouble and Andrew and the rest of the staff provided great consolation when we needed it most. They were always on hand, often during unsocial hours, to provide advice on all aspects of their job; arranging flowers, editing death notices, dealing with relevant authorities etc and doing this all in a gracious, polite and highly efficient way. On the day of the funeral they explained in a courteous and respectful way about protocol at church and during the burial service and made the whole day run as smoothly as possible, providing umbrellas for the entire party at the graveside. I recently engaged Andrew Roughly Funeral Services on behalf of Mrs Sheila Ward, the wife of my dear friend Charlie, who had died peacefully but suddenly after a short stay in hospital.From the moment I first entered the offices in Maghull to the day of the Service at West Lancashire Crematorium, I was treated with care and consideration by Mr Roughly and all of his staff. The minute we walked into Andrew’s funeral parlour we knew we were in the right place. From the calm, friendly and professional greeting of the staff, to the modern and fresh but tranquil environment, we felt instantly at ease.What amazing service we received! Every funeral has its own difficulties, and we certainly had our fair share, but Andrew and his team resolved them all; their mantra of “the answer’s ‘yes’, what’s the question?” was so refreshing. Simply the best. Don't bother going anywhere else. They are affordable and convenient for all.No matter how large or small your funeral, Andrew and his staff can take care of all your needs and requests. The day my father passed away, Andrew came and sat with us in our home. We even had the date of the service and the event booked from day one so we didn't have to call back family and friends twice which is painful to do once when grieving.They are kind, respectful and extremely professional.My father was an ex-paratrooper and the staff went the extra mile to find a British Legion Flag Bearer and an ex-military bugler who has performed twice for the late Queen Elizabeth II. It was an exceptional honour for my father and something special to see a full military send off. I've never felt more proud and it's all thanks to Andrew and his staff for making it happen.I just cannot say enough. Especially to Andrew who responded to my email's well into the night.When you're grieving, you don't need any added pressure or stress. So, pick-up the phone and dial Andrew.
