Rihanna Nails

A couple of friends recommended this salon to me due to value for money, walk-in availability and the decent quality of nails. I did look up the salon prior to going and became apprehensive after reading the poor reviews. I went anyway and was pleasantly surprised, although there was a small wait before I was able to my nails done, the staff were very friendly. I was also happy with the quality of my nails, they did them exactly how I wanted and have had no issues with them since. I will definitely be returning!

I visited the nail bar on Wednesday 30th September as my nails required doing. One of them was snapped off and when I advised the technician of this they said that was fine and they could sort it. Instead of removing, cleaning, and putting a new acrylic on, they instead just glued another one over it. A couple of weeks went by and the same nail snapped off again, due to the quality of the one that was put on. This took the whole acrylic nail off leaving only my natural nail. It’s then I noticed that underneath my nail the area was about 1/3 green and looked mouldy. I researched what this is and found out it is a bacterial infection. When I read up about the causes of this online it states that it’ll be caused by not correctly cleaning the area which is obviously down to them just glueing a new nail over the top and not taking the broken one off and cleaning before applying a new one. My friend rang the salon for me and they said to come down and they will sort out. I went on Saturday just passed as it was still green underneath and they offered to put another acrylic on, despite the bacterial infection still being present. This clearly is bad practice and has meant I can not do my nails for the foreseeable until it’s cleared. They also offered no assistance in how to clear it up, nor anything in terms of a refund. In fact they were quite rude and talked over me the whole time. I’m very disappointed in the poor practice and unsafe approach to doing nails and it’s left me upset that it looks such a mess and I have to make a doctors appointment all because they couldn’t be bothered to correctly remove the broken nail and clean the area.

Beautiful nails. Made me a little uncomfortable all the staff speaking their own language whilst i was sat right there, i think it’s a little rude and unprofessional but nails looked lovely.

A really nice nail salon, walk in service and cash only. The wait is never long and the workers are very professional. They get the job done quickly insuring you’re happy with your nails throughout the process. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend.

Friend told me to come here as you can make bank transfer instead of cash (informed not today). All I had was gel change. I was going to have pedicure but not a great job with hands and gel still wet. Young gentleman did my nails needs more experience. Another person who might be manger was very rude with no reason why. Had to get the cash, closest cash point post office which charges. If you want something quick and very basic go here but make sure nails clean and you walk out with dry nails.

I normally don't like to give poor reviews but l am really not happy about their service. Apart from asking if l like my choice of colour the young technician didn't ask me anything. She didn't consider to use softer files for my soft nails, just used the hardest file, she used an electric file to take off the first layer really roughly (i know you have to polish it a bit for polish to stick but since l had no prior polish, she didn't have to damage them this much). She didn't give me a Primer whereas I saw my friends technician do this for her but she had already started on on Base coat so was too late to do this for me. Didn't ask how l like them painted. My friend's technican was still filing her nails when mine was doing second coating. When it was done, no question if I'm ok with it, took next customer straight away. So l needed to ask my friends technician to file sides and ends a bit more because all my nails were rough and catching on my scarf. They were talking in their language, looking at each other and made me feel as if l am most the difficult customer to ask any questions. Also, I couldn't see them disinfecting any of their equipment and we didn't get a receipt at the end.

I got acrylic infills and paint here. All was going well and the shape was really clean until about 6 hours after leaving the parlour. On two of my nails the paint had peeled off (not been cured properly), bare in mind i did nothing with my hands after my appointment that would make the nails peel. I went back and they corrected them free of charge…Two days after getting my nails done here a further 4 of my nails had peeled off. Not what i expected from the pricier nail salon.

Not impressed with my pedicure! Quite quick! I still have hard skin! Dry skin all around toes still there! No full foot exfoliation; no shaving of the hard skin; no foot moisturiser - did my legs! big toenail not straight - had to ask her to straighten and to cap it all, she really hurt me and drew blood!

Not a luxury salon but staff are quick and it's reasonably priced with walk in appointments available. Please be aware that they do not clean the toe separators between clients and surfaces are not wiped with antibacterial. No bathroom facilities. Shellac hands £15, Toes £20, full set acrylic nails £25, Manicure £12, Pedicure and massage chair £25, Manicure & Pedicure £35, French Manicure £14, Eyebrow Tinting £8, Eyebrow shaping £5.

Awful place rude male member of staff when I requested the female nail tech to do mine & my mums nails he raised his voice and said you’ll be waiting 2 hours in an aggressive manner. We are the customers and are allowed to request who we want to do our nails. They then were Speaking in their own language between each other & it was about us they have no respect for their customers whatsoever . I was a regular client and now I will not return they don’t deserve the business!!!!
