The Kiln Rooms Copeland Park

Brilliant experience on the 5 week taster course. Teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, gives a thorough understanding of the basics in a relaxed environment.

This was in 2016 but I'm writing this now because the heartlessness really stuck with me. I booked a pottery course for my wife for Christmas. She only managed to make one class before I had a major accident that left me hospitalised for some time. As a result, she was unable to complete the course because she was at my bedside. When I was able to, I emailed and explained what had happened and asked if they could allow her on the next course because of the circumstances, and how it would be really great for my wife seeing what she had been through. They couldn't find it in their hearts to allow her on the next course and said we would just have to book again. We found another course elsewhere at a later date, but it has really stayed with me that during that difficult time, when we were so fortunate with the kindness of so many people, these guys were so unkind.

Really fun pottery workshop. Teachers were patient and helpful. (They needed to be with me!)Not rushed and actually created somePieces I will actually use around the house. Good fun all round.

Did the beginners class. Had an amazing time.

Wonderful afternoon learning how to make things out of clay - pinch pots, decorated slabs, and things on the wheel. Good tutors - especially for the use of the wheel. Pleasant studio with good lighting. Class not too big. Strongly recommended

Really enjoyed this course. Balance of learning skills and freedom to do your own thing. Fantastic teacher who was really able to share her talent with the group and make a peaceful, creative space for us to experiment regardless of the outcome!

Absolutely loved my 5 week course at Kiln Rooms: the teacher (Rebecca) was phenomenal, the equipment was great, staff are always so helpful and friendly.

When my friends said we were gonna meet up in Peckham and do pot, this is not what I was expecting. But actually I had a wonderful and rewarding time.

Fantastic experience, the time whizzed by but very clear, informative and supportive instruction. Be prepared to make lots of mistakes and have fun!

Basically for posh kids who want to be earthly. Classes are overfull, equipment is not quality, I barely saw my tutor. Typical of gentrification. Don’t waste your money. Southwark council classes are much better
