Yesterday was my 80th birthday and my husband and daughter surprised me with a wonderful carriage ride around Belvoir. Everything was perfect including the sunshine.Thank you so much for a day I will never forget. x

An absolutely magical experience on a beautiful frosty winter’s day. Such a lovely trip round the Vale of Belvoir and through the grounds of the castle. Beautiful happy horses - the mulled wine, mince pies, snuggly blankets & jingle bells completed the experience. We then had a fabulous lunch at the Chequers. An absolutely perfect day with friends. I would highly recommend this experience ☺️

Had a taster session with Sarah and Danny and super pony Teddy. Really enjoyed it. Sarah and Danny made it really fun and I also learned a few things. I did much more than I thought I would. Absolutely recommend to try carriage driving and if you try to do it with Sarah and Danny.

From the age of 6, my wife, Christine has wanted to ride in a horse drawn cariage. Her ambition was today, realised in full. It is her birthday and DK Carriage Horses provided the perfect service.Our ride in the 1907 Landau, drawn by Victor and Theo - two beautiful (but one a bit 'windy' at times - you know who you are!) Gelderlander horses, took us through the really beautiful countryside between the Chequers Inn at Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, to and through the castle grounds. Interesting locations were pointed out to us with a hint of historical background. The pace of the journey- as you can imagine - was stately and sedate. Pulling in at the main enterance to the castle caused quite a deal of interest on the part of the queuing visitors , we felt like we were the Duke and Duchess arriving home!We heartily recommend booking with DK.Sarah and Dan deliver the day out that you dream of. So friendly and accommodating.

I had my first carriage driving lesson today - something I’ve always wanted to do. Danny and Sarah (and Teddy!) were lovely. They explained everything thoroughly including tacking up and were great teachers. It’s certainly not as easy as it looks but I felt I had achieved a lot in one lesson. Hopefully I’ll be back to do some more in the future!

Dan and Katie and crew gave us the most magical experience on our first sleigh ride!!! Beautiful scenery and a fun stop with Dan #2 making hot chocolate and sharing the history of this area. Highly recommend!!!

Wow! What a fantastic and really authentic experience! We booked a carriage ride experience for my mums 70th birthday around Woolsthorpe and Belvoir Castle and it was absolutely brilliant. We just loved it! Danny and Sarah were super friendly as were their beautiful horses Victor and Theo. We coaxed many an interesting story from Danny and Sarah about their royal encounters and filming work. So much fun. I would just love to do this again. Thank you for such a wonderful morning. Xx

A huge thank you to D K carriages of Grantham for arriving us in style at our wedding. The two grey horses were majestic and the carriage was beautiful. The riders were professional and helpful taking a few photos of the bride & groom along the journey to our venue. Our guests were blown away by the entrance on our horse drawn carriage, likened to a scene out of “Bridgerton”. You helped my bride feel like a queen on her most special day, thank you so much x

D K Carriage Horses have been absolutely fantastic! I needed something special for my mum's birthday and this was the perfect gift. My parents had a wonderful and scenic horse-drawn trip around Belvoir Castle, which will now always be a special memory.
