Kids and Family Cycles

I would really like to give a 5 star, but am giving 2 stars instead.Basically, Carolyn and Martin have been very helpful and knowledgeable, when I can get a hold of them. They helped us choose a good bike, and gave very good advise throughout the process. However it was very difficult to get a hold of them---not picking up phone calls, nor responding to messages or emails.Currently they owe me some money due to over-payment of deposit that they have not returned to me, as well as a free service that is supposed to come with the sales through cyclescheme. This has been disappointing. I suggest not going with them unless you live close to them and can knock on their door.

We bought a Winther Kangeroo about 6 years ago, delivered just after we had a baby. We've used it since then, and still do with two of them whenever it's cold, wet, or we have to take them both on one bike. Job done.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering Kids and Family Cycles, and I am beyond thrilled to share my overwhelmingly positive experience with this exceptional bike company. We have tried to arrange a time to test ride a bike on numerous occasions over the last couple of months but have without success. Despite repeated efforts, communications have been ignored. Clearly they are busy enough that they don't need our business so we will buy elsewhere.

Carolyn was exceptional, I cannot recommend her highly enough - she truly went above and beyond. We were planning to buy a cargo bike to coincide with our move from London to Bath. She gave me lots of advice over the phone and we narrowed it down to two models based on the hilly area we are moving to, my cycling capabilities (no experience) and the age of my children. We were due to have a test run day where she was bringing two bikes to me in London so we could try both models. However, we had concerns that the area might be too hilly and tricky seeing as I am not experienced. She actually DROVE to the location of my soon-to-be new house and did the school run" I would be riding my children to school. She decided that it wasn't going to work for us and advised us not to buy the bike. I mean

Carolyn and Martin are wonderful. They make it a completely personalised experience, finding the right bike for you and your family. They will also go out of their way to make sure your bike is kept serviced. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you!

Carolyn was fantastic. We had a great communication and she managed to deliver a beauty for my new business amidst the pandemic. Can't recommend her and the business highly enough!!
