Valleyside Escapes

We had a fantastic Easter, 4-day break at Valleyside Escapes. Everything is well thought out and you want for nothing on site. All the best places to visit are within a short car journey.Recommend the Bear Trail and Saddles and Paddles for a trip up the river to the Double Locks Pub.Very dog and child friendly,Emma and Matt are great hosts and on hand should you need them to impart local knowledge.We will be back and will bring friends.Simon, Kelly and family.

We booked all of the luxury tents for a weekend gathering to celebrate a family birthday. Valleyside Escapes was the perfect location from the access to the river and the pathway to Tiverton and Bickleigh Mill. Emma and Matt were the perfect hosts and were on hand at all times to answer any questions and help us have a great weekend. Emma prepared the tents in advance with ballon's and bunting so that our birthday girl had a real surprise on arrival along with a Birthday Cake.This was just fabulous and got the weekend off to a great start. There was so much for our small ones to do and with it being self contained we never felt worried or anxious on what they were doing. The Luxury Tents had everything we wanted from supplied bedding, welcome pack and logs! The Bathroom and Kitchen facilities were well equipped and spotless. We would certainly recommend and certainly intend to revist.

We didn’t know what expect when we booked Valleyside Escapes but our expectations were more than exceeded!!! The ‘tents’ were spotless and well- equipped and comfortable. Our children loved the ‘snug’ raised sleeping area. The views from the tent were incredible and they have a small play area and bowling court for kids and adults. Exmoor and Dartmoor are easily accessible as well as many beaches to the North and South of Devon. The owners were really welcoming and were on hand with any advice or help should you need it. Will definitely be returning!!

We’ve recently returned from a great week at Valleyside Escapes. The perfect way and place to experience glamping! The tents are fantastic and have everything in them that you might need. We travelled with 3 kids, 5yrs, 3yrs and 1yr, who all loved being able to run free outside the tents and still be safe and contained within the site. There’s loads to do nearby and Emma the host was great giving us ideas and links to plenty of attractions. She was also available for any advice/help we might have needed but left us to enjoy our trip at the same time.Can’t recommend it enough. Looking at next year already!

We had a fantastic time staying in the safari style tents at Valleyside Escapes and will be returning as soon as we can. We had family living nearby who came to visit us and ended up coming over every day to sit with us! We had a couple of barbecues, an amazing paella evening and drank the local wine. We were so well looked after by Emma who made sure we had everything we needed, even coming up late one evening to clear up after our paella! We can recommend staying here either as a relaxing break just staying on the site, or as a base to visit all the places on offer nearby. We will let the family stay with us next time even though they only live a few miles away! Thank you

We had the best weekend at Valleyside Escapes. The tents are beautiful, cosy and with the woodburner, definitely warm enough even in mid October. The children loved the play area and the Railway Centre down the road. Adults loved the paella kit Emma provided to cook outside, and our long lunch at the pub just across the river. Not having to get in the car at all was brilliant. We wished we could have stayed much longer.

Lovely people/owners, lovely accommodation, miserable, drisserly, overcast weather proper English Holiday.Closer to main roads, than the similar sites we've stayed in. (Down side seemed to be a local with a really noisy farty car) (upside straight on a proper road to your destination/s) however just off the beaten track enough that you feel your stuff is super safe. Owners very welcoming, well laid out to give you a gorgeous view, went the extra mile and put birthday bunting up for our son who spent most of his birthday in a car to go on holiday. Provided everything you need and extras available from the honesty shop.First safari tents we've stayed in that Provide you with a WiFi hotspot others have been in no signal areas. There's was a good network signals at all times. So I didn't use but my son who has limited data was straight on it. So if you have teens or workaholics your well catered for.Theres even have a random peacock roaming the area.

We had an amazing stay at Valleyside. The location is beautiful, everything is so well thought out with lots to do for the children. Emma was a fantastic host.

We recently attended an event hosted by Emma & Matt and must commend the high professional standard of their service and warmth of hospitality. Catering and drinks were served at pace and with ease. Nothing was too much trouble whenever requests were made. The venue is superb, warm, capacious with oodles of natural light. The ease of access to outdoor terrace area serves to extend that sense of openness. There was nothing to fault about either the preparations or event operation. Cannot thank Matt and Emma enough.
