Albion Timber

Just called in today to look at purchasing a few pieces of timber for a few projects I have in mind. I explained what I was thinking of doing and the owner did me a really good deal on a live edge oak board a burl and a couple of smaller off cuts. Really great service, great guy and also has access to machinery if you need it cutting or planing to depth. Overall I cannot recomend this place enough. Exelent.

'Ever get the feeling you've been cheated'Found this timber supplier via Google and decided to give them a go, after explaining what I wanted it for I purchased a piece rough sawn waney edge Oak, it looked a little weathered but I have a planer/ thicknesseser that usually with a couple of millimeters off makes wood fresh againAfter cutting a section and putting the the thicknesseser I noticed splits and cracks all across the width of the plank both front and back which I wasn't expected and renders the material useless for what I bought it for,After contacting the owner and sending photos I was advised because I had altered the state of the timber there wasn't much he could do apart from sell me another piece at a discounted price,Another piece I would have to alter the state of" to find out if it was any use
