The host James and lots of the regulars are really good at making sure everyone feels included and has something to do, I was really nervous at first before going but felt comfortable here almost immediately and have made good friends through it!

As someone who is not comfortable around New people or groups, however my brother recommended this. I was very nervous about going to D&F for the first time but I love board games and figured it was time to de-hermit. I messaged D&F before I went due to nerves and James sent a lovely message back to put me at ease. When I arrived James was there to greet me and find a game for me to join. James is an excellent host and takes a lot of the discomfort of not knowing anyone out of the equation. The people are welcoming and friendly and completely non judgemental. D&F quickly became an integral part of my week and, even though I have moved to Scotland, I will be going back for weekend and all day events. If you are unsure, just give it a go, I promise you won't be so

Can't recommend D&F enough! I've been going 1-2 times a week for the past 18 months and invariably have a great time. I was alone the first time I went and everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Highly recommend D&F to people of all abilities and interest in board games. I went to the opening night a board game novice and was worried I would feel intimidated or overwhelmed but the staff are SO helpful and friendly. I explained my situation and was recommended easy and fun games to get me started and over the past few years I've advanced onto more complex games. I have also attended the event on my own several times and always made to feel welcome joining in with new people. Great night with or without your friends!

Cannot recommend this enough! I've been going literally since it started 3 years ago and it's such an integral part of my week. I've met so many wonderful friends and made so many memories playing new games. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the hosts are all so lovely and helpful. Even if you've never played board games before I would highly recommend giving it a go, it's a great way to meet new people and try new things and I guarantee you'll love it!

If your new to the city like I was I couldn't recommend D&F more, from the first time you go you feel welcome. James will get you playing straight away and there's always someone who will explain the rules. Couldn't recommend more.

So far now I've been to a number of their all dayers, no weekenders, and they've all been great fun. Raffles, quizzes and tons of board games. Saturday definitely is the most popular day, filling up fairly fast, so Sunday is great if you want it to be a little quieter. The organisers are really nice and very helpful. I've not been to their smaller events but everything looks good value.

I’m had such an amazing time. I came on my own and was helped to find people to play games with. There was such a massive collection of game that were all super fun and I had such an amazing time. I can’t recommend this enough especially if you’re new to board games like me and want to find a good way to get into them and meet people!

Fantastic game night, one of my staple socials every week. Great selection of over 200 games so there's something for everyone. James the host is great at what he does, even if you're a complete beginner, he'll find you a game and a group to get you going.

Such a great welcoming place especially for a beginner board gamer. Sooo many games and the host can help work out was is best for your board game knowledge. Great food and you can always meet new people playing by joining games. SUPER!
