Mull of Kintyre Car Park
Views are spectacular, but the walk is grueling, not for feint of heart and if you wish to take children be careful as the lighthouse itself is infested with ticks. The walk both there and back are almost vertical, but worth a once in a lifetime experience.

Mull of Kintyre Car Park
You park here to visit the lighthouse. Parking for around 12 cars and there is a turning space.. Free of charge. The drive up is not for the faint hearted. No WC.The views are just a 30 second walk from the carpark. The lighthouse is about an 45 minute walk down and a tough walk back. You can also walk along the coast line walk. And you can visit the Chinook helicopter crash memorial which is about 30 minute walk.If you enjoy...

About an hour and a half down and up at a comfortable pace, with a picnic at the bottom. Absolutely one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places to visit.

Mull of Kintyre Car Park
Free car park, road now closed from here for traffic but you can walk down the steep winding road to the lighthouse. Photos here are from the view from the heather land to the right of the car park, as you look down.The drive there was a long road that had been resurfaced but very wavy, so the car suspension kept bottoming out even below 15mph.

It's a small carpark at the end of a long and winding road. Walk a short distance down the road on the other side of the barrier and you can see the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse. Its a long way down. Fantastic views.

Its a bit out the way down a single track road but well worth the effort also pay a visit to the chinook helicopter crash memorial and the light house
