Tons to look at but beware of the specimens in the Medicine section if you’re squeamish. Some fantastic working steam machines, a few cafes and a gift shop packed with children. There was an exhibition of clocks and watches when I went which was very informative.

I'll start by saying I love that museums are mostly free in the UK, and would easily rival any of the ones I've been to in the States. This was incredible, and I will be back again. I enjoyed every bit of this place and the cherry on top is the incredibly friendly staff.

Absolutely Brilliant. Great Space and Aircraft displays and brilliant old telephone/telecoms section. Great facilities with cafes in several floors and toilets and disabled facilities since I went round with my sister in her wheelchair. Great for kids with plenty of interactive exhibits

Incredible. Popped in for an hour in between events, was incredibly worthwhile. Free for everyone and so much to learn and be inspired by. No wait unlike nhm next door. Shop has some really cool gifts too.

Good educational day out for the kids. Interesting pieces within the museum. Does take a few hours to get round, best to plan a trip as can be busy. Certain exhibitions cost money which is a shame. Could do with some new exhibits to attract a new audience. Great location as there are several museums nearby. Easy to get to via underground.

Reasonable experience. We went with a couple of nine year olds and another family. You have to register to enter which seems a little unnecessary. The exhibitions themselves were interesting although more interaction would be better I think. We visited the games exhibition which was a large room full of games. Overall it is a four star experience but could be five. It could be better - the one in Stockholm is smaller and more interesting. It is worth a visit though

Such a fun and interesting day! There is SO much to see here no matter what your interests are. I loved the space exhibition so much. If you are a fan of the space and the universe then you have to come see the exhibition, it is the best! Even if you are not into space, I highly recommend coming here. There is so much to learn about all sorts of topics. There is a huge room about planes and flight which is very impressive. They have life sized planes of all different types including war planes. There is also a cross section of a Boeing 747 which was so interesting. Every section of the museum is great and you learn so much from coming here. The staff here are nice and friendly and are always happy to help you. There are public bathrooms and food outlets all over the museum . Admission is free and I highly recommend coming here.

Great museum to go! The museum is huge and has lots to see! The space section is great! We joined a free tour of the airplane history and the guide is very detailed and knowledgeable! Even the food is great from the cafeteria inside the museum. There are many snack bars and areas on every floor. In addition, there are fun games for the kids to play so bring your children along and they will have a great time!

A great collection of items that have played their part in our engineering and scientific progression. We learnt so much and it's free! Don't forget to book your tickets though, I was lucky we went on a Friday afternoon and tickets were readily available to cover my mistake!A great space to explore with my 12 yo and 7 yo. I've always enjoyed bringing them both 'The Garden' in the basement of the building when they were preschoolers.Looking at the space craft that Tim Peak travelled in was humbling and very interesting. Also seeing how domestic technology has changed though the decades was eye opening for the kids. It definitely opened their minds and got them thinking as designers and engineers. We didn't pay for any of the exhibitions on this occasion, though my kids were keen to go into the video game exhibition! The picnic space on the top floor is a good size but after several schools had visited it was pretty messy - I felt the cleaners needed to be a little more on top of it.Toilets throughout the building - no queues when we attended during term time.A great afternoon out in central London.
