Our experience with Claire has been nothing short of exceptional. Our dog Bucky had a severe case of separation anxiety, and it resulted in someone being homebound at all times. Claire is amazing! She helped us with our rescue whippet-staffie who was reactive to other dogs and had zero recall. Thanks to Claire, Twiggy is now totally focussed on us when we are out and comes back when we call. Claire took the time to really get to know us and Twiggy, and she tailored all her advice to us. We walked Twiggy together on her initial visit and then had loads of follow up calls which were all super useful. Our 20 month old rescue dog had been bred for breeding and lived with other dogs in the country. As a follower he went outside with the other dogs, so when he joined our family he was confused and incontinent in our home. We tried various dog trainers until our vet recommended a a registered dog behaviourist.Claire spent two full hours with us. She made a sound assessment of Jamie, befriending him before instructing him on the use of a bell to go outside. We were trained too!So as a family we worked hard to help Jamie settle into our home and with Claire’s help is now continent and a happy part of our family.Claire has followed up each month to check on progress and to help with other behavioural problems associated with his young life.Claire was an excellent listener, asking helpful questions and ever ready to explain canine behaviour to support her interactions and recommendations. Her written report has been a helpful guide as well.We strongly recommend Claire as an excellent animal behaviourist and although at the mid to high level of fees, the money spent has been a really good investment. We know we can return to Claire at any time should we need more advice.

My insurance paid for Claire's services at Problem Pet Solutions to help with my dog's behavioural issues and anxieties. She's taught me how to read and listen to what my dog is trying to tell me with her behaviour. My rescue dog is very noise phobic, extremely anxious around traffic, especially loud or large vehicles, and also around visitors to the house, car journeys and the dreaded vets! She can be anxious around people, especially men and can be rather snappy! I've had my doggo for 3.5 years now and I've done a lot of work previously both with animal therapists, and the vet including the holistic vet who prescribes her homeopathy and herbs to help with her anxiety. She's sooo much better than when we first got her over from Bosnia when she was 5 months old; she was terrified of the whole world! We'd reached a plateau however, I knew I had to do more, but also we were coping with where things were. I was nervous about taking her camping, pubs and cafes so knew we needed to work on this but didn't get around to it. But then things got drastically worse after fireworks night 2021. She started to refuse to go out with her dog walker, all her anxieties worsened, and her noise phobia became more extreme. I bit the bullet and enlisted Claire's help. Claire has worked miracles with my hound! There's still work to do, but if we started at a 9/10 anxious dog, she's now a 1 or 2/10. I can walk her without her bolting at a noise, she's fine with most vehicles most of the time, I can take her to the pub and the cafe, and she's calmer and sits when we we have visitors. The changes have been surprisingly rapid. Yes it takes work on my part to follow Claire's expert advice, but consistency is key, and the advice and training is deceptively simple! If you can do what Claire says then your dog will be happier and calmer. Claire's suggestions work with where you're at, and take into account what else is going on in your life. There's no judgement, just helpful suggestions. When I have questions I've emailed and Claire responds quickly. I was skeptical before looking for a pet psychologist, it felt a bit woo woo" and I wasn't sure what to expect. Claire was brilliant throughout and gave us a range of useful insights and suggestions. I'd reccomend Claire without hesitation."

We were referred to Claire by our vet as our dog has extreme fear of the vet and he had to go under anaesthesia for even nail clipping.Claire visited is for a two hour visit, walked with is to our regular routes, interacted with him to get to know him. Then we received a plan. We started with small visits to the vet, all positive affirmation based. Then we started practising the table at home, slowly desensitising him to situations that can happen when going to the vet.We also worked at Totoro's reactive behaviour with other dogs. We followed Claire's instructions and she called us every week to check on the progress and we discussed the weekly videos we took at practice situations and shaped the plan according to Totoro's needs.After three month he now pulls into the vet's. He sniffs around, making friends, offering paws for treats. He goes into the examination room with no issues. Still has some fear of the table but can be but on when treat is on the top :) He even followed his vet around, giving laws to him and let him pat him. He plays with dogs now, now every dog but off leas he enjoys company. He does not yepp on every dog who passes by and often does not even bark back if another dog starts barking at him.We are grateful for Claire's guidance and support and it is heartwarming to see that our dog's personality evolved. Claire was brilliant at sharing some basic training techniques to help me and my family deal with our new,very reactive puppy.Very reliable and provides a lot of useful information, links, videos and written information.At the end of our 3 month sessions, our puppy is much calmer, responds to commands and gets on better with our other dogs. Also we have learnt how to identify triggers and pre empt a more positive reaction.Thank you Claire.

Since meeting Claire back in January, and following her advice and guidance our Staffie, has come on leaps and bounds with his separation anxiety. Claire really knows her dogs! She has been a great help with my dog who is a rescue and is very anxious and displayed some adverse behaviour. The techniques Claire taught me were very insightful and have certainly given me a way to deal with the behaviour.
