My son has been getting drum lessons for over 2 years. I find Dave approachable, friendly and patient. My little boy loves these lessons. He has learned loads from Dave and it’s been great to see his skills develop and confidence grow. He now appreciates lots of different music as a result of Dave’s positive influence!

My 8 year old son Nicky had been attending Beat It drums for almost a year now. He absolutely loves it, and his development has been great to see.Dave has been brilliant with him - great fun style of teaching and very patient with him.Highly recommended.

Had some drumming experience before taking lessons with Dave but have really enjoyed learning drum notation as well as different approaches to applying rudiments around the kit and tips on practice routines. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and creative with his lessons and is very patient whilst I try to unlearn a ton of bad habits. Dave’s lessons are well prepared, personalised, challenging and really enjoyable.

I have been going to Dave for around 2 years now and he is just as great as the first day. Engaging, funny, helpful, parient and realistic. He has helped me achieve my goals and continue on with my drumming, hopefully for years to come. Overall a great style of teaching. I would recommend going to Beat It for anyone getting into music and trying to push their skills to the next level.

My son has been going to Dave for five years now and is shaping up to be a top class rock drummer. Never once has he come out of a lesson having not enjoyed himself. Dave is patient, knowledgable and obliging. Highly recommend him as a drum tutor!

My wee boy has been going to Dave at Beat It Drum School for 5 years and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He has incredible patience but keeps the lessons engaging and fun and my kid has made amazing progress. Dave is excellent at keeping in touch if there are any issues with lessons (eg us running late!) and tries his best to be accommodating if we need to change for any reason. So glad we found him!

My son started drum lessons with Dave around 5months ago and loves it! He’s developed a wider interest in music and his confidence has improved greatly. We travel a wee bit to have lessons with Dave as he was recommended from a friend but it’s absolutely worth it given the quality of lessons he gives. Dave really personalises the lessons to suit my sons learning style and growing interest in music.I’d absolutely recommend Dave @ Beat It Drum School to anyone thinking of starting their wee, or big one in a new interest!!

My son has been attending drum lessons with Dave for just over 2 years and loves it! He has gained huge confidence and never wants to miss it. Since moving premises there has been the addition of guitar/bass/piano lessons at Beat It. I now go for bass lessons and am fulfilling a dream!! Seriously good value for money and just a real joy to go to tbh.

My son has been attending lessons with Dave for over a year now. He absolutely loves the lessons, where he is currently working towards Drumsense Grade 3 qualification.Dave is a friendly, patient and understanding teacher, and brings out the best in his students. Since starting lessons with Dave, my son's confidence has greatly increased, and he has found a new love for music that he never had before, from learning and playing along to a variety of songs.

Delighted to have found a wonderful drumming teacher for my son at Beat It Drum and music school. Can’t recommend Dave highly enough. My son (now 15) has been going to Dave for sometime now and has learned so much.Dave makes lessons very enjoyable and fun.
