A first class experience from start to finish. As previous reviewers have mentioned, Paul was really patient while we were confirming dimensions of the stone fire surround (changing our minds on more than one occasion) and provided some really good advice throughout the process. Competitive and transparent pricing with no hidden extras. They turned up bang on time on the day of installation and the attention to detail both of the surround itself and the fitting is second to none. We're over the moon and the surround is stunning. We were originally looking at surrounds from fireplace showrooms claiming to supply bespoke products (but who are essentially just resellers of mass produced products and quote extortionate prices if you want anything non-standard). Paul supplied our fireplace - despite it travelling over 180 miles to get to us it was really well packaged and arrived in perfect condition, complete with joint grout and stain sealer. We are really impressed and pleased - it looks fantastic.

Truly skilled craftsmen who designed / delivered a beautiful end product with which we are delighted. What we thought would be a simple project (rip old fireplace out / replace with log burner) was thwarted by a complicated chimney design (160+ year-old house) but Paul proactively worked with our stove engineer to accommodate our requirements. Thoroughly recommended and a lovely bloke too!

We are delighted with our fireplace and with the outstanding craftmanship and service. We struggled to find anyone who would make a bespoke stone fireplace in Scotland. We had Paul recommended by our builder because he was very impressed with a fireplace he had fitted with matching stone to line the chamber which is what we needed to cover damaged bricks.Paul was very accommodating allowing us to visit his showroom when we were travelling back to Scotland one weekend. He subsequently answered many email queries regarding sizes for the fireplace/hearth etc. Paul and Tom then travelled up to Scotland to install the fireplace themselves as our builder was not available. I contacted Paul for a French style fire surround. He provided drawings for a bespoke size to best suit our room and chimney opening. It is absolutely fabulous. We are so pleased with it. Tomlinson stonecraft supplied a superb York stone fireplace. Such a great selection of different fireplace designs, and they also provide flexible bespoke designs too. We were looked after from start to finish, and the quality of workmanship was impeccable. Great attention to detail. Fitting process was very smooth, and we now have a fireplace to be proud of. Really finished off the room. Would highly recommend. They are a credit to their craft!
