I'm no connoisseur of coffee, but I was impressed by the efforts Costa seem to be going to encouraging better recycling ♻ and reducing unnecessary waste. Offering to recycle any and all single use coffee cups, giving a discount if people bring their own cup and offering to fill bottles with tap water is great. Although there is plenty more to be done in these areas, I think these efforts are great and should be applauded.

Filthy tables, over flowing bins and rude young lady clearing tables who when asked to please give us something to clean tables with ourselves, said very snappy she would do it when she had time even though there where three people chatting behind the counter

Slow service from Sue, got told coffee machine was broken after waiting. Ordered hot chocolate and no cream or marshmallows available. Wasn't given a option of size. Had to through on the end that I would like a large.

Excellent staff and really caring compassionate people....We sadly had an accident on the M6 motorway. We were brought to this service station, we were looking for somewhere to sit and gather ourselves to make our journey back to London. Unfortunately due to current climate we were unable to sit inside the Costa, the brilliant staff helped us to find suitable seating area and gave us all cups of tea. The two girls helped us find local taxis and recommend which train station to use so we could get to London.

Lovely, friendly staff and nice enough seating area - it is a service station, after all. However, I was disappointed not to be offered crockery rather than the disposable cups (paper with plastic lid) for my tea. The cups, saucers and teapots were there but they weren't using them to serve the drinks in. Everything was served as takeaway even though lots of people were eating/drinking in. It would have been nice to be asked.
