Had a lovely bank holiday Monday at the club. Great entertainment and great BBQ and Jacket potatoe stands.

Me and my partner had our engagement party at the club and whilst our party ran smoothly we were lied to by the staff.Upon enquiring about the room initially we were told that if we left the room in a clean and tidy state we would receive our deposit back.Again when we went to pay and book our party we were told again that if we left the room clean we would receive our deposit back.However on the night at the end of our party we spent time cleaning the room, removing all rubbish and even wiping all the tables and returning them to their original position.We asked about our deposit and were told that we could not have our deposit back because the bar had only taken just over £800 and they needed to have takings of £1000 for our deposit to be returned. We were never told this information. Even when asking about the terms of the deposit we were only told to leave the room clean and tidy. At no time were we told takings behind the bar had to reach £1000. Meaning that we had not only deliberately not drank as much so that we were in a fit state to clean the room at the end and enlisted the help of a few guests but how on earth can we be held accountable for the amount of money our guests spent? Are we expected to force our guests to keep buying drinks?I’m not saying I’m disappointed with the room or the party in general. I’m just highly disappointed with the fact that we were lied to and mislead.

Not a bad club, we were invited to a function Saturday evening well stock bar, bar for IPA went off early in evening.

Great club friendly staff and great venue for snooker and pool, great prices too
